Modders VS Kabam : Solution found ?

Why not just create a thread or category on the forum titled "Accounts suspected of cheating" where players can post ONLY screenshots or supporting videos to inform the Kabam teams of the situation (or a particular qualified person who will be able to check and punish the account if necessary).

This would prevent the main conversation from being drowned in posts about modders (like this one) and make the environment more pleasant for the community.

The report button doesn't seem to work at all, or if it does, it would be nice to notify us via an in-game message directly that a player has been banned as a result of a report from the reporting player (without necessarily giving the name or account information).

We really need to follow up on this, whatever it is, it would be a shame to ruin the efforts invested in building this game mode.

It that was a thing, it would just be reported to the team. Much faster to press the report player button

This is essentially the same as the report player button. The only difference is that you have to screenshot the profile, the fights, then Kabam have to manually search for the player’s ID in game and look under the hood. So you’re probably quadrupling the workload by doing this.

I do think that it would be positive if there was follow up by Kabam which there hasn’t been so far, hence these topics, but Kabam’s policy, rightly or wrongly, has always been to not name names because of potential abuse.

I tend to see if I can find the cheat’s alliance leadership and inform them and show the suspect screenshots, then 9/10 the player gets booted from their alliance as nobody wants to get docked in AW.

The thing is that I genuinely think that there's nothing that kabam is working on to solve this major problem, they have the solutions...

Just seems like there is nothing being done on this issue to discourage cheating other than player integrity… which is all it should really take, but it seems there is a need for a bigger stick for the players that lack it and then transparency from Kabam on how often they use that stick. Even something like, “During season 1 of battlegrounds players reported suspicious activity 254,678 times. This led to 2076 accounts being banned. These accounts were responsible for 54% of the reports received. Additional investigation is still underway for the remainder.”

To corroborate what some others have already said, we wouldn't be able to make a section for players to post suspected cheaters because calling out other players isn't allowed under the forum rules. This is to prevent witch hunts, someone posting just to try to hassle someone they don't like, or situations that could lead to folks dogpiling on someone over a misunderstanding. This is also to account for the fact that the community is just very creative and always brainstorming to push the envelope of what their Champs can do, so what some might initially think looks like cheating in the post-fight summary, may actually be a player that has found an innovative new strategy or technique. I'm not saying this is the case with every report, but it is something that has to be considered during an investigation, and something we rarely see taken into account when someone tries to call someone else out publicly.

All that said, if any player does have a screenshot or supporting video like you mentioned, or even just an explanation or quick summary of why they think someone else cheated, they should absolutely send that in to our Support Team. Any info that can be provided can be immensely helpful to us and can help both speed up each investigation and help us to collect more data to refine our processes. We are taking action based on investigations stemming from reports, and while our privacy policy prevents us from discussing private info with anyone but the owner of an account, we are discussing other ways we might be able to give players a better idea of the scope of actions being taken as a result of reports and investigations.
