AW Season 39 beginning December 21st or first week of January?

Last year we got a 2 week extension on our AW off season. Was this a one off to fix things in AW or do you think we will get this again this up coming season? I hope they skip December and focus on fixing the bugs in the game, improving BGs and AW.
