Is Battlegrounds causing you to feel burnt out?

Since BGs were introduced I feel like a lot of players have shifted away from playing mcoc. The first season was fun and challenging but since then it feels like a really time consuming chore. I know many people have decided to stop playing and I feel this is a major reason. I don’t want the game to die out of course so hopefully kabam can really really lessen the playtime for bgs.

Just wanted to see where others stand on the amount of time BGs takes, thanks.

It's not the playtime that has me burnt out, it's the matchmaking and token systems. I'd be less annoyed with the token system if it wasn't for the fact lower players get rewarded for not progressing their rosters with far easier path to GC than those who have progressed their rosters to end game levels.

It makes absolutely no sense and has cause me total and complete burnout in this mode.

I played the first 2 seasons..but the grind of winning/ loosing is so time consuming, on top of that you have the bugs and modders. So I’ve haven’t actually touched it since, I rather play aq/ arena, less frustrating and keeps my phone intact.

Personally I really enjoy the mode. It’s the most fun I have when playing this game.

Yep! So much wrong with it. My four year alliance died over a month ago. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that everyone slowly stop playing. After it was introduced. It could be such a cool game mode. My alliance was so stoked about it. But everything is wrong with it and I think it’s the final straw for tons of people. The matchmaking is horrible. The bugs are atrocious. The silence is deafening, and the fact that you’re penalized for ranking up your roster is absurd. When people at the bottom of our alliance, we’re moving way faster in victory track The **** and frustration was really evident. Sad It was a great four year alliance.

I've made it to GC every season. This season, I put 1* in my deck and just lose and purpose every two days to get the objectives. Too much time dedicated to it (plus, I only have one Abyss path left before 100% content so I don't need the store now for ranking up champs as there's nothing left to do).

@Kabam Miike I know the team checks the forum frequently, I was hoping this poll would give you guys a good indicator that this mode is very straining time wise. It really has cause a lot players to take a step back from the game in the top100 alliances

Please try to make adjustments to it next season, starting one tier lower than you finished the prior season would be great for victory track purposes. If needed change the energy/elder mark amounts to coincide with these changes.

BG would be fantastic if I wasnt constantly playing against modders. Its the same thing every single time... they die the 1st or 2nd round but end the other 2 fights with 100% in about 25 sec. Its complete garbage the last 2 seasons.

Even tanking matches with one and 2 stars just for the 600 trophy tokens TAKES FOREVER. A mobile game shouldn’t challenge the board games Risk and Monopoly in lack of speed to completion. You aren’t even doing anything for 70% of the time but watching the countdown clock

A fix similar to what you suggest regarding tiered starts to each season is being worked.

It was, but then I got burned out on incursions instead.

It averages out to about 4 to 5 minutes per fight when you add in the draft and choosing champs. So up to 15 dedicated minutes a match, you can't do anything else. With the matchmaking as is, it's starting to lose its appeal.

When it takes 30+ matches to get out of a tier that only requires 3 wins in a row, it’s becomes overkill quickly.

I think the seasons for BG came too fast and furious. Having it once every 3-4 months would have been pretty nice. Every month? Draining..

I'm very casual, I like the play mode but there are various issues that leave me playing as and when I feel like it.

Like everything else in this game, nothing is mandatory to do. You don't have to do everything. If BG burns you out stop playing it, it's not harder then that.

It stopped burning me out the moment I stopped doing it. So no, it does not burn me out. There is no one that forces me to do it. And if it feels like it is burning you out you should just stop doing it. Progress might be slightly slower, but anything is better than being burned out.

Yeah, I've been feeling the burnout quite strongly the last two seasons. I thought it would get easier after I got the EOP objectives done last month and wasn't just dog tired all the time after those power-draining runs, but I've been just as burned out this season as during the previous one.

It's just exhausting to fall back to square one every season and have to claw your way back up. It also feels like things have gotten much harder in the last few seasons. I used to be able to reach the gladiator's circuit in about 2 weeks for the first few seasons, but I'm struggling now. There was a point where I had about a 90% loss ratio over about 20 matches, which is just absurd considering how well I used to be doing (about 50/50 win/loss).

Battlegrounds definitely tests out more than just your contest skills.

Lol, took me like 40 matches to escape the hell that is diamond 2. Got out of diamond 1 in about 8 though.
