you're right, but when you roll 20 times at 1/24 odds with 7 of 24 being featured champs, you should AVERAGEa featured at about 29% OF THE TIME. yes each roll is 1/24 but once you aggregate your statistics over many pulls it averages. if you rolled 100 crystals you should expect around 29 featured pulls, give or take.

Every featured, there always seems to be one champion that I don't want but keep pulling. Looks like Purgatory is it for this crystal.

That's not really true. First of all, 100 crystals is a very small number of rolls relative to the statistical distribution of drops. Let's say I wanted to attempt to measure the odds of a featured champ dropping from the crystal, and I define that to be the six new featureds plus Wolverine, and let's say I didn't actually know they were collectively seven out of twenty four (29.2%). How many crystals would I need to open before I had a value likely to be within two decimal points of the actual value (in other words, 0.29 plus or minus 0.01 or one percentage point).

A rough estimate would be the point where the square root of the expected number of drops divided by the expected number of drops is about 0.034 (1/29). That would be when I would expect about 841 drops. Which would be about 2880 crystals.

100 crystals, by comparison, is a very small sample. The expected margin for error with 100 crystals would be something like 19%. The margin for 20 crystals is like 42%. In other words, the statistical average for 20 crystals would be 5.8 drops or about 6. But I would expect about 95% of the players attempting this experiment with 20 crystals to range from about 3 to about 8. And a significant number would fall outside even that wide range.

Four is well within the expected variability for twenty crystals.

Sad thing is that unless i find rank-up gems I'm more apt to save rank up mats for 7*s than get this guy up past r2. Such is the state of the game now i suppose.

opened 1 and so happy with it, now I just need 6* antman classic, wasp and yellowjacket to complete my 6* quantum team. might as well open a few more featured till I pull YJ maybe get lucky pulling some other featured then after that just gonna focus science mystic dual class till I reach my goal.
