I hope I’m not beating a dead horse, but we were told more than two weeks ago that we’d have news soon about updates to the BG trophy store.
Hoping we can at least get a confirmation that updates will go live at the start of next season, if not sooner.
Along similar lines, for players that are 6+ months paragon, the glory store is really unhelpful for progression. It basically supports building roster depth (r3 champs) while doing nothing to help r5 champs and very little to r4 champs. I’m hoping there’s an adjustment around the corner that’ll reprice these items to reflect what’s available in-game elsewhere.

One glory update (Nov 2022, just over 6 months ago)
The loyalty store was introduced in early August (10 months ago this week) and hasn’t been updated
The BG trophy store hasn’t been updated, as far as I can tell, since October.
On the plus side, we’ve had a lot of content - the EOP finale, shooting stars, 8.2 finally coming out, so we’ve been able to grind for rewards. The flip side to all of that is that these currencies all become dated very quickly.
Spendable currency is the way for summoners to get what they need when they need it. It rewards responsible planning and management. It’s unfortunate that a single path in 8.2 gets me more r4 mats than a week of AQ.
We will prob get battelgrounds store update news in 1h40 so I'm excited for that. Got 70k tokens saved, how many have you guys?
If I want 15% of each catalyst, I’d have to use 3900 glory per cycle. If you rank below 250th in AQ and score anything under 600mil, you top out at 4800 glory.
The store refreshes every 8 days, so it’ll take you 536 days to get 10 catalysts…one and a half years, basically. And that’s if you’re willing to pay a premium to get that third 5% and forego other resources in the store. If you drop back to 10%, you have more to spend on t5b and alloys but it’ll take over two years to match 8.2. Even the rank rewards can have you in the top 100 but only getting 5-6% of each catalyst.
