Although oof, sucks with the shooting star quest
Some tips when using Terrax as attacker:
1- Don't use heavy at the start of the fight. Use light ending combo and try to get as many armor breaks as possible before initial rockfield expires.
2- go straight to sp3 and keep refreshing armor breaks by light ending combos. After sp3, get to 11 armor breaks. Once 11 armor breaks are achieved. Repeat the sp3 process.
3- He gets extra combat power rate on his blocks based on the amount of power cosmic terrax has. block special attacks to get ton of power quickly.
Tips while placing him on defense:
1- Ban Abs man
2- Use Defensive stat focus of "Block Penetration"
3- If they have good counter for Terrax, you can still place him on defense expecting them to take long time to take him down.
Hope the tips help!
@Syndicated he's not actually pillow-fisted; but you do need to play a bit differently to get the best out of him. Getting all his Armour breaks in helps a lot.
Sorry for the multiple dupes, which isn't ideal for any 7* at this point of the game. But since you've got him, do play around with him. No, he doesn't have the damage of CGR; but he's a champion a bit like King Groot: much less pillow-fisted than he appears at first glance; and much more useful. And with his immunities to Shock, Bleed, most power control, his armour breaks and Invulnerability charges, Terrax is absolutely packed with utility.
Another way to up his damage is to spam specials. Like a lot of cosmic champions, Terrax can do that, but his Power comes in a couple of weird ways, one of which is: getting punched in the face 😉...
If you want to, once you've got to SP3, charge straight in (they're stunned!) and throw a Heavy.
You'll drop out of Rock Field, but still have over two bars of power.
Next (bait out a special if you need to), throw an MLLLL to refresh your Armour breaks, then throw an SP2, and see if you can get a Parry-stun immediately afterwards. If you can, use a Heavy to cancel out of it; and the Power Gain buff will take you back up over two bars of Power.
Your choice to then repeat the SP2 or head for another SP3. Those Heavy attacks will all hit pretty hard, as they'll be guaranteed crits with a decent Damage boost.

Secondly, remember he's a ramp-up champion. They're always a bit less inspiring in their first match. And Terrax is an oddity because he likes getting hit.
Terrax ramps up (1) his ability to stack Indestructible charges, and (2) his defensive combat power in Rock Field.
The trick to use that is a bit counter-intuitive (best when you've 4+ Cosmic charges, but the principle works any time) is to bait out Heavies when your in Rock Field. But you don't dodge them and counter like you would with a regular champion. Oh no. What you do with Terrax is to take that Heavy right on the chin for zero damage (indestructible...) and a huge burst of Power.
So at the start of the fight, don't parry. You can hit the opponent if you like. But before Rock Field expires you want to hunker down, and see if your opponent can be persuaded to throw a Heavy. If they can, just let it happen. You'll get a huge amount of Power - often enough to reach 2-3 bars of Power. Which you can then Heavy-cancel out of and have yourself at an SP2 within ten seconds of starting the fight.
Like I said, he's not CGR. But he's not Korg either. Try him out on Attack, and see what you can do with him.
I agree with OP, Terrax is too easy these days
Warlock degenerates him when Rock Field is up, and makes him lose Power faster. This won't do enough damage to make a big difference on Attack; but it's worth knowing that you should ideally avoid using Terrax to take down Warlock, when Warlock is defending.
If he starts with Power, Psylocke will get to start with a Psi-charge, so she can immediately Enervate him for the rest of the fight, once his Rock Field drains him down to zero.
