Vertical screen causing locked specials

I just had a war fight where I entered the fight and my screen rotated vertically. Didn’t think much about it but as I’m ramping up in the fight I realize I can’t use my specials at all. Anybody else have this issue??

    Yes. I constantly have this issue where the screen flips, even when it’s locked. Sometimes it doesn’t flip back and even if it does, I get locked out of my specials too.

    It’s getting old honestly it’s been screen flipping for months.

    What device is this happening on ?
    Game should be set to NOT rotate vertically, so what device is ignoring that coding ?

    Or is it part of newer multi-tasking split screen, or other split screen/foldable screen devices that is messing with an App being coded for landscape-only ?

    I’ve also had the screen flip a few times recently on my iPhone. Only on menus and never in a fight.

    It was happening with my iPhone 11 and then I recently switched providers and got an iPhone 14 and it still does it.

    I made a post on the forums and a bug report to support about this just last week: Thread

    I finished a fight in AQ and put my phone down, picked it up and realized the screen had rotated and I was holding my phone vertically. Rotated my phone and the entire screen rotated except for a box in the middle and it started bugging out.

    I'm sorry this is happening to other people but happy I'm not alone.

    I've only had this happen on my IPad. It is insanely disorienting and has caused me to die many times. But in my case i think it might be more of a function of the IPad and less of a MCoC exclusive issue. Very interesting that it seems to be only happening on iOS devices though. Can anyone with an android confirm if it happens to them too?

    For me it’s an IPhone 13 iOS is up to date and everything. But somehow somewhere it seems to be an iOS issue

    It typically does it in my menu as well which is why I’ve ignored it for so long. But now it’s affecting gameplay and I don’t like it

    It seems like the game was able to prevent screen rotating in the past but that has been broken in a recent update. I don’t know if it’s an iOS issue or an app issue or an interaction between the two that’s changed but it just started happening for me in the last few months. I can’t replicate it so I don’t know what’s triggering it. It doesn’t rotate all the time but it’s happened at least twice recently.

    It’s annoying to switch it on and off but there is a screen lock feature in settings. I wonder if that would prevent the issue. Might be worth trying as a temporary fix if it’s impacting fights. It usually just locks things in the vertical orientation so I don’t know if it will help the MCOC app stay horizontal or not.

    It still does it even with the screen lock on for IOS which is the most annoying part. I’ve tried everything that I can think of

    Does it only seem to be since iOS 16.6 (yet another 16.6 issue) ?
    (There may have been earlier issues with other specific new-feature phones, but as far as this being widespread across many iPhone/Pad)
