I was one of the false bans for using Quake in AW in 2018, so let me tell you from experience that no one here cares. People that are on the forums all the time typically lean in favor of Kabam. I don’t know if you’re guilty or innocent so I won’t make any assumptions. Either call it quits if you feel unfairly treated, or just keep playing as normal. Nothing will make Kabam budge.
I got another player's ban reversed by demonstrating the ban was in error. If there is some substantive reason to believe a player has been banned in error, I would at least try to see if there was anything that could be done. However, most of the time the only evidence people present that a ban was in error is testimonial. They claim they did nothing wrong. Very few people will care about those claims, rightly so, because the vast overwhelming majority of the I did nothing wrong crowd did a lot wrong and are just trying to gaslight the community.
The Quake related bans from five or six years ago were definitely detection errors, and I hope you were eventually compensated for those if you were one of the players caught in that particular net and did nothing else wrong.
How can you prove you don't have or didn't use 3rd party software?
There's no easy way to do that, but sometimes you can prove you did something unusual that is not prohibited but has the potential to throw false flags.
tbh , if the dude has been playing for 6 years and this is the first time he got banned and don't even know why , then i feel bad for him . And about kabam , they are rarely wrong on the stuffs like this tbh
So this time Forum community was wrong and unfair to OP. Ban was actually an error. What a surprise.
Actually, yes. Mistakes do happen. They are rare, but they exist, which is why I try not to pile on too hard on people claiming they were wrongfully banned. They are almost always lying, but not actually always.
Even if it is a one in a thousand chance, one in a thousand is not low enough to eliminate all benefit of the doubt. I hope everyone remembers this one, because while it is easy and fun to bang on players who cry about getting banned, all of us should remember that sometimes people are in fact innocent.
This is also precisely why we're prohibited from calling out players by account name for cheating. None of us has an error rate low enough to allow for that.
Our detection methods are always getting better, and are in a great place right now, but we have made mistakes before. It's why we check these reports, and in this case, there was an error that resulted in a false flag
When we respond to others on the forums to verify they should be banned, it's because we've done the due diligence to check on the ban criteria, and in this case, we were wrong. OP, we are very sorry for this mistake.
We gotta be better than this, man. Cheaters are rampant, but it's never a good thing to go around accusing and talking down to people. This thread shows the community needs to do better.

When I said before that I am thinking to delete a bunch of stuff from my phone to have enough space to record my playin, people start to hit the lol button. While many of these bans are for good reasons, there can be errors (like here) and having records might help.
I don't know the intricate details obviously, and I don't know whether it's on the company to prove the person was breaking the TOS or if the customer has to prove they did not break TOS, which would be very messy (probably could depend on the judge you get.)
There's an analog involving Black Jack in Vegas. For legal technicality reasons, counting cards on the black jack table in Las Vegas is not illegal, and they cannot actually ban a player for doing it. However, any Vegas casino can simply decide to ban a player from any table game or the entire casino at their own discretion without giving any reason. So when a Vegas casino detects a player counting cards, they will generally ask the players to leave the blackjack tables. They will usually allow them to play any other game, but if the player makes a fuss they can and will simply ask them to leave the premises completely, which is entirely within their legal right to do. They often say words to the effect of "your play is too good for us, so we do not wish to play against you any more." That is a perfectly legitimate reason for barring you from their tables.
It is not illegal to count cards, but it is also not illegal for a casino to ask a card counter to leave. You can try to prove you did not violate the game's TOS, but you cannot compel them to keep you around regardless.
I agree the casino can ask you to leave for counting cards, and you have to comply as it is private property. However, the casino must pay you any money you gained from counting cards before they asked you to leave and let you cash in your chips.
Also @Dottorkame , very happy to see that you're one of the good ones and got the ban reversed. I sincerely apologise for lumping you in with the 99% of cheaters/modders who request to be unbanned illegitimately. I am glad Kabam do their due diligence and check the bans to make sure they are accurate and resulted in overturning it for you.
Perhaps this will make the more cynical of us forum users less quick to jump the gun next time as OP was completely in the right here and it was probably very disheartening for him to see people just disagreeing with him and accuse him of lying when he had done nothing wrong. Again, I apologise for my original post saying that it's unlikely your ban would get reversed, but I'm glad everything worked out in the end.
In the future everyone, lets not just jump to conclusions and assume the worst when a post like this appears on the forums next time as OP here was genuine and many of us just disregarded that possibility based on statistics. Sorry again from the community, OP.

Very gracious and good of you to respond and apologize on behalf of the company publicly. It gives me more confidence in the process that mistakes can be detected and owned up to.
I wonder how many who were making assumptions will do the same.
Firstly, glad you were unbanned OP. That must have been a horrible experience.
Secondly, thanks to Miike for looking into and recruiting it. Kabam just can’t stop winning.
Thirdly, have about received DMs/questions about why I’m so blunt in calling out the usual suspects (TM) on this sub. The reason is they are the most toxic posters on this forum. None of them will be punished for pouring salt into this guys wounds or the heartless way in which they did it. A real blight on this community of otherwise lovely players.

best of luck to you op!
I genuinely do feel bad for OP though, glad Kabam realized it was a mistake before they lost a legit player.
Unfortunately that doesn’t mean anything.
You’re stuck with tickets and devs. They probably got a new guy that effed stuff up trying to “fix” something.
So sorry man.
This should now be an apology list of kind of jerky posters not believing.
#believeallposters
One of, but it’s kind of fun.
Very glad it led to op getting back in the game.
Should have a poll to see if it’s 6 or 12 paragraphs.
Besides the quake thing, this is the first time I can remember where the OP wasn't actually a cheat.

A actually unjust ban is not something anyone is worth.
The forums are jaded, cynical and judgemental for a reason
*Most* of people here are higher end of the game, so experience is plenty with alot.
