Dani moonstar rebalance info thoughts

So Dani is getting 2 sec increase in slow duration and now she can counter Nick fury.

How do you guys feel about this. We got many good rebalances like shocker, Chavez, gorr. But when it comes to mutant champ who came after mutant famine we had and was having a lot of issues in her kit, she got 2s increase over 20s slow duration.

Right now Dani moonstar is the worst champ released in 2023, and the rebalancing team didn't even bother to make her better. What even use the point of rebalancing then.

I think if the same continues gladiator will also get very minor tune up at Max. And that will make 2 champs Dani and Gladiator who were designed by same designer being the worst champs released in 2023. That's some achievement by kabam designers.

What even use the point of rebalancing then.

The point of rebalances isn't to make a champion become a top champion, it is to help underperforming champions perform better and cut down champions that are overperforming. Some rebalancing will seem lackluster, but that is the nature of the beast.

I mean she is the worst champ in 2023, the designers had so much they could have changed that would make her a better champ. But now her rebalance means nothing cause it doesn't make her better anyway.

There was so much scope for Dani to turn out to be a decent champ, but they ruined it. Now we are stuck with a fairly new champ who no one will ever use.

No one is asking to make her top champ, she is the worst from 2023, now you have the chance and scope to make her better and designers ruined it.

I was super excited for Dani when she dropped, but I kinda agree with what a lot of CCP members and forum users have been saying about her

Her design seems to conflict with what they want her to accomplish. Making a champ that relies on falter counter Nick and Herc (two champs that both ignore it) is so weird. They didn’t even give her some sort of mechanic to bypass it

Vega showed that her slow still doesn’t last nearly long enough after the buff and the duration bump should’ve been more. On top of that, pre-buff Dani needed to line up everything perfectly to counter those champs in the first place. Coupled with extreme reliance on crits and little utility other than that, I am a little disappointed

I still think she’s a hard hitter sometimes and a decent Nick counter, but I’d rather use Peni or Toad tbh. I like the basis for her design but it’s potential felt squandered

Now we have bullseye who can never miss and is advertised as skill defender. Dani will go down as the most pointless champ released in recent years.

I see, so she still sucks then, and she definitely won't be able to counter Nick reliably either cause if he gets to 5 tactical charges she can't use her miss anymore.

I am sorry, I shouldn't have done that. I knew about this recently and thought to share the same.

Also there are few designers like DLL, who are attaching their names to the champs they design. I am trying relate the kits and designs of different champs made by the same designers.

So with Dani are we stuck with her messed up kit for god knows how long or is there any hope for her redemption?

I am trying to learn her but can't even find good rotation vids on YouTube. Thought it will change after rebalance but it's clear that no one will even bat an eye to her.

I love my r2 dani, I got her from 8.3 exploration and ranked her up instantly. No regrets to this day I didn't even believe she needed a tune up

Dani isn't the worst of 2023. She does have some good damage and utility with the passive slow. Gladiator in comparison is probably the worst.

I maxed out my 6* Dani and don't regret it AT ALL, I don't see why all this fuss about her being the worst champ. Since I ranked her, every Fury I faced on BG was absolute win with full yellow bar. Act 8 had a lot of ideal scenarios for her and I had a lot of fun with her, even last months Quickersilver EQ boss was bullied by her every single run.

@Opandemonio Probably because her Nick Fury counter can be a bit inconsistent at times, like even a sig 200 Dani won't be guaranteed to counter Fury.

Dani isnt the worst 2023 champ. She is quite good actually. Sure her kit seems complicated but its actually very simple.
She has good damage and a bit of util

It's not the fact you can't build damage which is the issue. She can build Prowess just fine against Miss counters.

The trouble is that her anti-Nick Utility evaporates when he's got five charges: she only gets Neural arrows when the opponent Misses; which means she can only inflict Neuroshocks after the opponent Misses. And it's Neuroshocks (not Marked) which work against Nick's LMD.

I guess you can work around it by waiting out his tactical charges, but still 🤷‍♂️.

I still like her - she's fun to play - and it's good to see people defending her. But it's disappointing that a more specific ability to deal with Nick wasn't forthcoming. And since so much of her Utility is tied into her Neuroshocks, stretching those out by a few seconds would have done far more for her utility against Skill champions than an extra 2s of Slow.

I have a r5s200 6* Dani and she is still very challenging to play. "All the stars must align" while using her, and aligning them can very tricky. Especially when nodes are in play.

She is an awesome champ, but not very ideal to use (for me at least) due to lining everything up.

More should be done to make her a champ i WANT to use.
