Stat Focus Guide

With all the new 7*s since the initial release, can anyone recommend a good guide for the best choices for stat focus options s for each champ? I’m sure @Cat_Murdock has something well done out there…

I notice in the list that no one has armor penetration recommended. I’ve found that champions that don’t crit get a solid damage increase from armor penetration stat focus. Someone like crossbones who has benefits on crits may want the extra crit rate but I feel like Shocker should be recommended for armor penetration instead of special damage.

I also feel like Shuri should use crit damage instead of special damage. Your big numbers from her are not usually coming from the special attacks

Great points @Maratox I noticed that too - G2099 has Crit Rate stat focus recommended but she doesn’t crit. So think I’ll change that recommendation on my G2099. Overall it’s a helpful guide though.

No, she has crit rate is useful for her.
You see, she inflicts degen whenever she crits, so higher crit chance = more degens.

Classical storm should get crit rate coz it's very important for her to crit on specials plus she get more prowess on crits.

Domino should use crit damage, just like shuri, as her crit bleeds benefit from the crit damage rating (in that case hawkeye too).

Also Havok's main damage comes from sp3 and detonation. So not that much requirement of crits.

Like Captain Rogers said G2099 can still benefit from crit rate for the degen, but it’s the argument of whether more base damage or a higher chance for degen is better. And that could all depend on nodes and defenders

I’d like to add that Block Proficiency is incredibly underrated for BGs. Keep in mind those 7 star defenders will be running block penetration

Angela should get crit rate, because she gets tge huntress buff on crits. You want that buff active before you throw the sp1.

This is a good stat but some don't really compute. Think about them yourself. For example Shocker's damage comes from his heavy. Special Damage is probably good but armor penetration is probably better. Few other in there.

The crit dmg one barely makes a difference. They should really look to buff it up a bit, its definitely undercooked. It barely increases mantis & morb's sp2 dmg, you are better off going with special dmg on them. Even on a champ like elsa who crits very often, it increases dmg by like ~100 per hit. That's nothing.

I initially thought for my r2 Shocker, "oh his crit rate is super high, albeit utilized differently, let me just make it more crazy." Well that added a whoppin' 1% increase. I assume because his natural kit was just so damn high to begin with but, not worth it at all. Decided the 11.2% for armor pen was much more beneficial.

Also I wouldn't follow the list above. Its like a 60% wrong and 40% right list

I don't have her. Kam's list has her on special dmg stat focus, so I'm guessing crit dmg boost doesn't make too much of a difference. We're talking about the champ with the highest possible base crit dmg, if that isn't enough then it's virtually useless for others.

@Sachhyam257 Shuri has guaranteed crits after sp1 so think of it as 100% crit rate pair that with critical damage rating. Not only does her damage increase by a small little amount. So does her critical shocks. And i'd rather have higher critical shock than more special damage.

do you think a 6* Juggernaut relic is better?

don't remember whether it is unit or $$$ deal.. but I got most of the x-magica offers.. even the ehem* high unit 7* x-magica crystal (pull Adam Warlock - again)

Why physical resist on mojo? I have mine on special damage to make sp2 degens more potent.

If physical resist is just because you have to stun and hold block once in a while then I don't think it's worth it.
