Bishop vs Bullseye & killer instinct

I just tried to use Bishop vs. Bullseye in the EQ. I was expecting that if killer instinct was triggered, bullseye would purofy the sun and then be passively stunned. But to my surprise, he was not, and killer instinct triggered as it normally does.

Am i missing something? Is there some reason this is "working as intended"? Or is this a bug?
