Paragon Gauntlet

Can the restriction of exploring TB be removed now? We have a lot to do in game and 100% exploring the EQ is a massive time sink. Despite what some may say, time is a valuable resource.

The rewards in gauntlet are decent, but the need to explore the event quest is just draining.

I wouldn’t be completely against that. Of course a short quest is better, but I’ll take what I can get.

Paragon EQ would still be a time sink, but if the rewards are worth it then I’m down

My biggest issue with the current system is that TB EQ is largely a waste of time

The actual Paragon EQ is not a time sink at all. Thronebreaker difficulty is good for grinding out the 22 hour events too.

Especially with how much in-game energy it takes to explore that. Those can be saved for 10 energy points it takes to do WOW

The reason the requirement is there is because paragon gauntlet is so short. 6 fights is pretty easy for an uncollected player to just revive through with a strong champ. And that’s a lot of incredible rewards. They want to make sure those who do paragon gauntlet are able to effectively play at the Thronebreaker level.

How about we meet halfway?

What if the requirement was reduced from 100% exploration of the entire EQ, to just the final quest.

That way you would still limit "low skill" players from accessing the gauntlet, whilst also making it easier on everyone else

Another thing could be to buff the EQ rewards itself, given the acquisition of 7* shards and t6cc is increasing it would make sense

EQ is not that much trouble unless you want to rush it in week one. You have the whole month. Do a path or two a day.

I finished exploring EQ and finished Gauntlet yesterday. With energy at half the time, it's easier. It's still a slogfest but at least it's done

Just because you have the time to immediately rush through content, doesn’t mean everyone else can do the same

It’s not difficult content per say, it just takes time. And a lot of us don’t have time

Uncollected players cannot revive their way through the Paragon Gauntlet, no matter how hard they try.

OP is talking about the EQ requirement, not the paragon requirement.

This thread’s reaction really seem to indicate who’s Valiant and who isn’t. The requirement to explore a difficulty tuned for two titles below Valiants doesn’t make sense. That’d be like saying Thronebreakers need to explore Conquer difficulty to unlock their quest.

The daily crystals Valiant players get in a week account for more reward than TB difficulty, a simple clear for Valliant makes sense.

That would be the ideal situation, but removing the exploration requirement for the current gauntlet would be a quick fix until a full blown EQ is designed & developed

Okay then I shall pose another point. OP is basically saying they don’t want to have to put any time or effort in to get paragon gauntlet rewards because Thronebreaker eq takes too long. Why should paragon players, the people who arguably play the game the most, be exempt from the time commitment requirement? That’s even if we agree that eq is a time sink, which it isn’t. If you do one path a day it’ll take you 24 days to explore Thronebreaker eq. If you can’t find the desire to do one path a day then you probably don’t like this game.

This exactly!! I will be down for that. Everyday we can just get all the rewards in a login calendar so we can just login, open crystals and rank up champs. Then just logout and turn our attention to other real life things. This game in itself is too time consuming.

How is 24 days in a monthly cycle NOT a time sink?

I enjoy the game, but having to grind out a long, unchallenging, unrewarding set of quests is something I find hard to justify

It’s 24 days if you only do one path a day. A path does not take very long to do. You can do one in about 10-15 minutes. So you’re not spending 24 days in a monthly cycle, you’re spending 6 hours over the course of a month. If you can’t spare that kind of time then you probably don’t have time to play the game at all

And then add on to that time: sidequest, wow, aq, aw

The eq eats into the time budget quite significantly
