Good evening, I am praony leader of CWIII top team French.

I am very angry about one of your mistakes impacting our war season once again! In fact you warned us that a change had to be made regarding diversity and that it had to be taken into account FRIDAY!

Except it was taken into account the same evening! How do you expect us to have had time to modify the defense 45 minutes before the start of matchmaking!

Your alliance war season is a joke. It would be wise for you to put an end to it in order to fix your bugs!

Obviously we are waiting for compensation commensurate with our completely failed season due to YOUR multiple bugs!
Orrrrrrrrr, don’t place 5 KMs in one bg, and make sure you don’t leave a mini node wide open? Idk, seems like there were other issues with your defense. I doubt you adjust your defense even if the change was appropriately communicated. Y’all get smoked without one of our worst performances on attack of the season. Our leader’s grandfather had a stroke during the war. We were kinda distracted. The win you would have had was down to luck, so instead of blaming others, I suggest you look inward.

Is it really necessary to speak to say so much nonsense? You know nothing and you allow yourself to judge. We don't need your expertise, the facts are there! If Kabam had respected his commitment this War would have been won. So if you are satisfied with all the bugs, continue playing and leave us alone on the forum, thank you!

We lost due to this as well. It's tough. I appreciate the efforts made and the team is clearly paying more attention to what the mods pass along. But things like this just hurt an already shakey player base morale.

With 4 wars to go this mistake by Kabam has cost us our season in high tier war. After most of our ali being with this game since it started I fear this is the straw that broke the camels back.

This is beyond disappointing and hard to get over.

We had 5 dupes…. Should have been a win but loss due to this update going live early.

Last 3 seasons has been a shamble. Kabam going away from their core value of making a community that enjoys a game . Why start messing with these ridiculous new war tactics and now have to change things to adjust leading to further issues.? War in itself brings its own pressures and Kabam had a good formula with tactics before they introduces these last 3 war season.

Today is a Kabam holiday for Easter, so replies from the game team may be only on Monday.

Oh so kabam has a right to enjoy their holidays but aw season ABSOLUTELY MUST take place during Christmas or Easter holidays right? Not like planning war takes a ton of time... and then you have to spend the day tagging people and hoping they'll reply and come to play the game instead of maybe spending time with their families. I find that to be another mistake on Kabam's side. We players deserve to be able to spend our holidays without worrying about ruining an entire month's worth of efforts. It's that simple. Adjust the schedule so that aw season doesn't fall during holidays. You can give us a longer off season so that MAYBE JUST MAYBE we can do some ACCURATE testing in your place (since obviously they're not testing aw) and MAYBE we can come up with the appropriate node designs during the off season period. And then we can play a decent aw season with no dramas. Also there are so maaaaaany bugs. Everything is bugged. Lady d with heal block applied doesn't shut down all unblockable effects from mutants (even though it says that in her description), changing a player means u can't place 5 defenders (now that's 15 attack bonuses given up), glancing is so damn broken even sp3s get glanced (sersi glancing hood's sp2, maestro glancing profx sp3, dust glancing titania's sp3...), adam warlock throwing specials while still inside the pod... I'm sure there are more and more bugs I can't recall right now. There are too many bugs to be solved. And aw is the game mode that gets hurt the most by these bugs. A single interaction not working properly may cost an attack bonus (or more). A single attack bonus may change the outcome of a war. A single lost war may change the outcome of the entire war season. I'm not joking here but as a war planner I have to keep track of every possible bugged interaction that may take place in a fight when considering a certain assignment. Can we please have some more effort put in aw? Because some people actually enjoy that game mode the most. And Kabam is losing part of their player base because aw is in such a bad place right now. Currently we have people asking to be replaced cause they wanna drop the game but we can't replace them or we lose the next wars because we can't place defense. Think about that for a second... that's absurd. Say you switch 1 player that's 5 defenders. 5 defenders missing that's 5 diversity points missing. 5 diversity points now equal to 15 attack bonuses. In tier 1 that means you're quite certain you'll lose. It's usually very rare that a mismatch happens where the other alliance loses by more than 15 attack bonuses. Now imagine if 2 people leave... that's 30... wow

*Lost wars because new alliante mates couldn't place defense . This is not getting fixed until next Wednesday...Season is almost over.
*Lost war because of diversity change.
*Fixed tactic 2x in 1 season. Obviously it wasn't really thought out from the beginning.
*Tactical attackers with double hit Mediums getting parried for hitting into block (Not even addressed)
*Lower war reward eligibility to 1 which is unnecessary and promotes just leaving an alliance, playing the last war somewhere else and get rewarded.
How is this season not cancelled already?

Kabam created the problem of people ditching diversity for a greater outcome. Sure it sucks everyone conformed to it by ditching diversity and placing repeated defenders, but it’s a parameter set by Kabam. I appreciate they changed diversity’s value but they have to at least stick to their word and apply when they say they will. This past war screwed many alliances over.

At this rate, the number of issues Kabam has presented this season alone warrants significant compensation. At a minimum give everyone rewards two tiers higher than where they finish. Plat 3 gets plat 1, etc.

Yeah, my alliance is pretty upset about these Magic Thief fights. Even our most laid back are ready throw in the towel on war, and some are saying they are ready to quit the game.

What disappoints me about this change is the favouritism it gives to Alliances relying on third party text apps. To coordinate a successful AW alliance, you are probably using Line or Discord. I hate those apps. The original diversity rules disadvantaged our alliance, but this change will kill us. Kabam doesn’t want to store gigabytes of text, so I get why they don’t want to provide better communications support to alliances, but I wish they wouldn’t design gameplay that depends on it.

What a poor take… those alliances didn’t make the rules or the strategy that made it more strategic to has less than perfect diversity. Nor did they make the “poopy” unfair defenders.

Just to put some numbers down.

Let’s say you have 30 dupes across 3 bgs . 10 per bg. So diversity is 120.

Old diversity was 30 pts. So you could essentially have 30 dupes across all bgs, to give 900 pts lost from diversity, and hope to recover it by getting more kills. 1 kill is 80 pts. So if each dupe gets a kill, then you are up massively pointswise. But where’s the cut of?

So, with diversity 120 (30 dupes), you have a 900 pt deficit. You’d need 12 kos lead to get ahead and win, assuming opponent had max diversity of 150.

12 x 80 = 960 pts, so you’d win by 60 pts.
11 x 80 = 880 pts, so you’d lose by 20 pts,

With the diversity change today, you need….

30 x 270 = 8100 pts

Yes. You’d need to gain 8100 pts from extra kos to win.

102 x 80 = 8160 . Win
101 x 80 = 8080 . Loss

That’s 102 kos. 90 extra kos compared to what is should have been for this war. Which means pretty much any war with even a small difference in diversity will have been skewed by this. And if there’s a big difference , then it’ll be a huge skew , and the lower diversity team would most likely have lost before they even started.

actually they changed attack bonus value to 90 instead of 80 points without ever informing us. Your calculations are only slightly off but the core of the matter stays the same

What hurts the most is that we got a **** matchup from start with opponent having more then 1m more in avg member…
Beat them with what should have been 200+ points, but got kabamed n lost.
Total of 5 dupes, that we opted to not change for this war as new scoring wouldn’t go live until “next” war.
Please adress this @Kabam Miike or someone from the team.
I see many similar results posted to the thread from the change as well.

There is another point that a lot of people are just ignoring. Fine they said Friday, it got bugged and counted a war.. blahblahblag... Why on earth change scoring systems in the middle of a season?...It was not an exploit, it was not a bug, it was a strategy within the rules. Why change the rules in the middle of the season...so frustrating

As I said once, I suspect Kabam physically cannot change war schedule anymore, they probably lost the engineer who used to do this, nobody else can cancel the season, otherwise I can’t see any reason they let this continue.

Why change the rules in the middle of the season...so frustrating

Between that, match making and Raids ruining placements for an entire week this season is a full on asterisk. It’s bananas the season hasn’t been cancelled…. I’d be genuinely outraged but I felt the Death Throes of AW in December. Too bad too this was a great mode

Calling it karma because some alliances pile tougher defenders in lieu of diversity is lame. It’s a strategy that some alliances have utilized for years. With an obvious understanding that it was a risk and might not pay off. It was never an issue until this season, with this tactic. Be for real.

There is a rule, diversity points and attack bonus, Kabam gives options to players and players made the choice, where does the karma come from?
This is clearly a bug, Kabam should cancel the season because it’s too messy to fix

I would actually like to know from all the number running people in the forums, if the score changing doesn't affect much at the end with the tier multipliers applied.

It’s a dramatic difference too. It’s only a net neutral once every one is running full diversity.
