New Relics?

Has there been any more talk about new relics coming to the game? I’ve recently been loving how specific relics boost my champs damage output and would love to have more new ones that do unique things. Is this something that is planned for the future? Seems like relics were heavily favored once introduced and now they’re stagnant. Would love to hear everyone else’s thoughts on relics.

I want more of them aswell, all the ember expiring for nothing and there are a lot of champs like OG Iron man who don’t have relics that work with their kit. Would love to see relics for all types of champs

I have over 20 relic crystals stocked up waiting for new relics. I have seen no news on if they plan on releasing more.

They have something in the works but haven't had anything to share after they said that in December.
This coming livestream is supposed to have something big in it so maybe relics are a part of it.
I finally pulled spidey 2099 so I'm ready for new ones now

New relics would be cool, but I still find myself opening 5* and 6* relics when I can form the crystals. I see no reason why someone wouldn't keep opening those unless they have every single one at max sig, which I highly doubt, let alone every 6* at r2 or 5* at r3 or higher.

Crazy how much relics used to be hated. Can’t imagine not having them now + they’re a lifesaver

Also hoping for new relics soon. I was sad they paused the system but I’m using it as an opportunity to target relics I want before new ones enter the pool. I’ve opened a ton of these and I’m still missing a 5/6* venom relic 😭

Funny was announcing the pause to something they hyped so heavily just 9 months after release.

Continuing to release complex nodes that force you to go deep in your roster for a counter (I have no issue with this at all), but then adding some nonsense that forces you to use a relic just outright annoying.

Cause now after scouring your roster to find a counter, then you have to find a suitable relic to pair with that champ. Ohhh, that relic is bound to a champ in AQ?? Guess you're not using that relic today.

I haven't changed my stance....I personally like relics, but they need to stop releasing content that forces their use if they aren't gonna continue releasing new relics.

The pause to their release cadence should have included a pause to any nodes that have anything to do with them.

I know they wanted to come up with non-striker relics at some point. My thoughts for those were like a Stormbreaker relic or an Eye of Agamoto relic. Famous items from the Marvel universe (especially ones that don’t currently exist in game) that could be used to empower champions.

These could work like current relics in that they have customizable passive effects and a gauge to charge, but rather than getting a striker on activation, you get some kind of powerful effect. Easy example would be that your attacks apply shock for a period of time on Stormbreaker activation. Or if it were Mjolnir you could get a “Worthy” buff that would do some cool stuff. You get the idea.

I originally thought these were what relics were before they were released, like you said, items used to empower a champion, not strikers

Issue with the relics is the faff it is to change them. And half the time I can’t because the champions I need to switch are stuck in Alliance war and won’t let me change. I think relics need total flexibility to change whenever, even if champions are in an active quest/AW/AQ like we can change masteries at any time.

An unbind all relics would be helpful as well.

Ok I have a idea. Each class has a "relic item" which can be equipped to any relic on that class, which will give a small bonus to the attacker.

Like mutant stone enhances prowess potency, in addition to any prowess potencies increased by mutant relics (storm).

Relics were cool. They are game changing for certainly champs.

They easily bump the tier of certain champs (venom massacre ham Angela).

I like relics for the striker combo extending basically, it comes in clutch more times than not. At this point I have more 7* champs that I have available relics, so I want more relics so I can have one on every 7* or rank 5 6*.
