Initial Thoughts On Shathra?

I like mine. Appears currently to be a niche cosmic destroyer, but definitely doesn’t disappoint there against some of the most nettlesome cosmics.

Other applications may pop up once she gets more use. But for now, satisfied customer.

Really stuck with deciding on getting her early-access or saving the coin and waiting until Titan pool swaps over since I’ll have a few to open, including a Nexus.

I already have the saga resources to max her out and take to r5, but I feel my luck will be pulling her as a 7* when pool changes and the 6* will have no more use. Nick’s review stated she was actually just as viable without her awakened ability since it’s questing focused, so an unawakened 7* with stat focus at r3 would obviously be ideal, and I wasted $100 for nothing lol

Personally, I’d wait. I don’t think she’s that earth shattering, especially if you already have Serpent/Maestro counters like SymSup, Chavez.

Counter point: One thing that gets played down is her synergies, which look to be great for some of the Spider champs. But probably not enough to justify early access vs. end of year stuff.

Personally I think I’m going to pick her up. My 7* mystic roster is my weakest, I’m somewhat lacking in Serptent/Maestro counters, the synergies with my R3 ham, and a few (admittedly low probability) shots at her as a 7* plus the guaranteed 6*. Also a bit putting my money where my mouth is as I voted for her from the start. Heck, the SGwen synergy might make me thinking about R2’ng her. A 7* team of Shatra, SpiderHam, SGwen, Peni, and Mysterio would be kind of fun.

Going to wait as few more days / watch a few more videos before I make the final call.

Her synergies and wasp totems do look useful in like war and such. Poison immunity for hazard shift especially

I think she's already very underrated, can take alot of cosmic defenders and alot of other defenders and fast. Also very easy to use just throw an sp1 and you're already at an Sp2. Definitely a BG champion. Literally WAYY better than white tiger.
What exactly is the community even looking for at this point.

I'm assuming it's because she's still new and only people who bought her Pre-Release have her. I did expect a huge debut from her in praises but the CC'S aren't doing her justice because most of the videos they've shown is just 200k HP drax and the comments seem to be saying she's not good enough.

Yeah because as a 7* she has damage of 6*
Maybe that's the reason, throw her against fat r3 mystic defenders and she struggles.
Kabam can't make attackers anymore

Nope a month ago I would've said the same thing but even damage doesn't seem to be enough. BRB is underrated as well and superior iron man isn't getting talked about as much as you'd think.
I think her damage is fine and better than 80% of the champs we've gotten this year.

And @PT_99 definitely agree, since 7* r3 have become a thing kabam has drastically reduced the damage potential of the new champs and kept the standard at 7* r3 that's why the old champions are still out damaging EASILY. The 7* r3 are hitting like the 6* r4's would 1-2 years ago. The standard of a good attacker before was 6* r4 so when kabam wanted a good attacker they were very good that now scales to their damage potential as a r3 which is why we considered 7* r3 to be game breaking because champs that had great damage as 6* would just SKY ROCKET as 7*. But with the newer champs 7* r3 is now what kabam looks at and thinks the community is using so they don't bother with good impressive damage unless at 7* r3 that's why the new champs are mostly mid unless they're that rank and can't compete with older champs at that rank.

I decided to pull the trigger and so far I like her. Just a couple of fights and I wouldn’t say I’m any good at her yet, but a R4/Max sig with no boosts or synergies is taking down WS in 52ish hits, which isn’t bad at all (admittedly with suicides on but she definitely is not suicides friendly given her rotation). Going to play around with the synergies next but at this stage I would say I’m hoping I pull her as a 7* in a few weeks.

The synergies are definitely nice. That said, I was having trouble getting the passively unblockable specials to actually be unblockable. Got the icon to come up but then when I triggered the special it was not unblockable. Anyone else play with it? Not sure if is bugged or was just operator error.

She needs to gain weight. a few good hits from a heavy damage dealer and she’s toast.
