Smart Selection from stash- not so smart

The Smart Selection in the ” direct from stash” upgrade is either very un-smart, or so am ,I that don’t understand how to use it.

The ISO in the stash has expiry dates and the stash is unlimited. So when choosing smartest which ISO to use the undisputed answer is strictly shortest expiry dates first (within the chosen class of course). That is a mathematical fact and no opinion.

But when I click smart select - the game never chose that. It always choose ones with longer dates. Why?
Even if I sort them out of expiry date, it’s still not choosing that.

So every time I have to manually sort by date and click 100 times to get the smart ones..

Is this a coding gotten wrong, a cruel joke from Kabam or just me not understanding how to make the settings to make the smart select actually smart?

Yes, it is not very smart.

They need to change both the Default Sort order to Expiring Soonest.
As well as (similarly) change the Smart Select to select based on Expiring Soonest too.

(Note, even if you manually change Expiring sort order, and then re-select Smart Select button, it still takes from the longest-expiring, which aren’t even on the screen then. So that doesn’t help us currently, have to manually select everything you want to use right now).

I definitely agree. This new feature is 95% of the way towards being a super useful QoL improvement, but because it's missing this one final feature of prioritizing the expiring iso first, it's basically useless. If they added that one feature, it would save me a ton of time when upgrading my champs.
