“The realm event pace is slowing down, we won’t reach the 1 billion mileston”

Why am I seeing this repeated so much recently? We’re at 665 mil. We have 11 days left. We need to average just 30 mil a day from now on to reach 1 billion. In the last 24 hours we put up 38 mil+. The pace will go up, not down. There is absolutely no way in hell we’re missing the 1 billion milestone, stop being pessimistic for no reason.

I started the event with 9000 elder marks, I've put a score of 6300 in realm event so far and still have 9000 elder marks. It's a very attainable score even with free elder marks so would hope we hit it!

I don’t care about anecdotal evidence of a few people in a game of thousands. I simply look at the numbers. We are putting up numbers. From Friday to Saturday, we put up about 39 mil in 24 hours. We need to average 30 mil a day to hit a billion. There is absolutely no reason to believe our average productivity would dip that dramatically all of a sudden.

Historical precedent. Player base always grinds battlegrounds harder in the last week of the season. And even if it doesn’t go up, it wouldn’t go down so hard that we dip below 30 mil a day. I mean even today, so far in 3 hours we’ve put up 6 mil. This thing isn’t slowing down

I mean player participation in BG goes up a lot as the season goes on every month. I don’t see why THIS month out of all months would be the exception?

Theoretically it should go up - more people getting into GC where point scoring is higher. But yeah, that doesn’t help if they stop playing once they get to GC. I guess it depends if people are hitting 5k before they get to gc or staying around in GC until they get to that magical number.

If that pace holds, it’s 930 mil so we don’t get to the 1 billion without the donated points.

Hope so.
I think the people who are close to 5k will grind in the last few days to make it, but also a lot of players who have hit 5k already will do just enough to get the banquet ticket objective every 2 days but otherwise nil.

I meant we’ll hit it without any further donations. Yeah if the pace doesn’t go up, we wouldn’t hit it without the first donation but that donation is already done.

For me it's about not letting the elderly marks go to waste. I'm not going to sit at 9k elder marks at the end of this event knowing next season I'll have a few k elder marks waiting for me after 5 matches.

I want to end the season around 7k elder marks ideally, the more milestones we hit the more elders marks I'll be using and my score will increase as a result.

Other heavy seasons it took 100+ ponts to even get out of URU, that is not happening yet...

My issue is this is by far the worst GC meta and its just absolutely miserable to play because its so RNG heavy on if AI will let you have intercepts to do anything, its just a lesson in frustration and being miserable. If they are going to do an event that requires playing a **** ton they have to pick metas that are not awful.

My plan as long as I am caught up on everything I want to, is to go in with elders marks. If the roster is going to blow my doors off, I am just throwing the match. End it quick, give them easy defenders, don’t engage the atrack, and move on. If it looks like it will be competitive and fun… I will play it out. Maybe that way I won’t burn out with frustration facing all R3 high sig defenders trying to play perfectly knowing full well I am doomed to uru anyway.

We are slowing down as more and more reaching GC. Scoring wins there is not as easy as in VT, a loss only gives 5 points more than in VT, and players trying to finish higher in GC are not necessarily playing to keep their scores.

The free elder marks end at the next milestone. My alt may climb to just over 4,000, but I doubt I push for 5K there. My main? I'll probably grind for the 5K there if I can.

Because there are too many bugs, lag and AI issue

If they are going to do an event that requires playing a **** ton they have to pick metas that are not awful.

This was the meta that was voted by the summoners so I guess the majority of the summoners are to blame for this meta.
