Epoch of pain hype/appreciation thread
This thread is for talking about this new piece of content and hyping it up for release. My "mcoc motivation" has been pretty low for quite some time now. When the grand banquet was first announced back in around september i was insanely excited and because we had just come from the launch of the crucible, which i still think is the best piece of endgame content in the game, my excitement was immeasurable. And then skip to december with the launch of the "grand" banquet and it turned into one of the most negative and worst events in the game's history i have EVER seen and i have been here for a long time. After the grand banquet my faith in the game was almost at an all-time low. Since then it has gotten better but it has kind of remained in a limbo-like state.
BUT NOW, epoch of pain has re-ignited that mcoc spark ive always had for this game. These are the best moments for me in the game's community. The entire community coming together to face this new and challenging quest and sharing strategies or showing best counters for all the fights and dozens of content creators sharing their experiences to everybody. The last time we had a community moment this strong was with the launch of 8.4. The rush i felt with hundreds of thousands and even millions of people rushing into the game and starting to face this new content and watching all the different creators go through it at the same time as you and it feels so fulfilling.
Im writing this before it even launches and who knows, maybe ill eat my words and it might be absolutely grueling (it will be) or something else will happen and i will hate epoch from there on out. But seeing this come into the game realy ignited something in me that ive never felt before. Hell thats where i got the idea and motivation to write this speech and i HATE writing.
