Tip for Kabam to make Ares acceptable.

It's very quick to know which Special he's going to unleash. I suggest that when Ares unleashes Special 1, his eye doesn't glow and when Ares unleashes Special 2, his eye keeps glowing as it is. This alone will help players.

Double flash/bright orange flash = sp2
Simple singular flash = sp1

Kebem won't help you, so you have to do this.

I just did my second epoch of pain path. I don’t think I’ve been more frustrated at this game than I was after the first one. Surprisingly, I actually had a lot of fun on my second path. There are multiple good cues, but I used one flash for sp1 and two for sp2. You’ve just got to figure out what works for you. He’s supposed to be hard, but he’s far from impossible.

After my first run in which I think I was successful against one special, I watched a couple videos. First one was an MSD solo. I just watched Ares eyes the whole time and little else. Next I watched a Swedeah solo and paid attention to the other details, mostly the punish objectives, almost never focusing on the eyes, while practicing calling out the special and the moves. Then went for my second path. Had a run where I took Ares from 90% to 26%. Third path, first fight against him I got him down to 10%.

Watch videos of players getting solos. Start with a focus on the eyes, then broaden your focus to where the eyes are just in the peripherals. It helps tremendously.

I just fought ares for my 4th time and got him down to 26% in 1 life with medusa. There were only 2 or 3 times in the fight where I recognized the special and did the wrong move anyways. Every other time, he would catch me with the kick so it didn't matter if I recognized he was using sp1 or sp2 or not.

The eye thing doesnt really work on android, the lighting contrast isn't as significant between the sp1 and 2

They just need to make ROL 2.0 with end game bosses at the end of paths unlocked only when you 100% Epoch of pain.

5 paths of generic punching bag opponents like in CC beta. With an End game bosses at the end. One of which is Ares.

We get to use our new champs in a better ROL testing ground and practice Ares.

After doing the fight 2-3 times, I could just react by looking at the color of the weapon. The eye glow thing never worked for me.
