The Crucible or Necropolis

I’ve just completed act 8.3 and once I have pushed to complete act 9.1 I should have enough resources to rank up 1 7* to rank 3.
I am unsure which special quest to do to get a rank 2-3 gem for my second 7* rank 3 so I can become valiant.
Which would be the easier option (less skill/effort required)

The Crucible is easier with the right roster of over 30 champs. Necro is easier with the right roster of a couple champs. So it really depends on who you have. The Crucible is easier than Necro, but far more demanding of a diverse roster and particular counters. Generally, a roster doing initial clears of story content probably can't handle the Crucible (at least not at a reasonable cost), but may be able to do one run of Necro.

I did Crucible, and not a single path of Necro. It's much more difficult than Crucible and just not worth it anymore. Doing an initial completion of Epoch will get you Valiant quickly if you have the skill and correct champs.

Unless you have a really diverse roster, this is the way. I can practically guarantee you have the right combination of 3 champs to take at least one lane in Epoch. Then, save up units and revives for one run. So long as you can confidently clear a lane, Ares is a known quantity. You can brute force him and you’ll eventually have enough charges that even a few hits will take off significant chunks of his health. Crucible could be going great and you get roadblocked by choosing the wrong champ. Necropolis was a nightmare for me and you will definitely more resources brute forcing the necro grandmaster than Ares. Just watch a ton of YouTube videos, overstock on units and revives and you’ll be good to go.
