Okoye’s Sp1 and Sp2 being blocked a lot

I recently pulled a 7* Okoye and I am having the hardest time going from a combo into either her Sp1/Sp2. Almost every time her specials get blocked and it’s driving me crazy. Maybe I’m just trash at playing her but I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. I know she has more hits in her basic attacks than other champs, so I feel like that may be where I’m messing up. At what point in her basic combo am I supposed to launch her specials?

I have never had trouble chaining specials in this game with any other character until now.

Just takes practice and slowing down your combo a bit. The 2x hit lights feel clunky; but you will get used to it.

This. I hate the speedster characters and could never chain their combos correctly, but I forced myself to learn Okoye's (because I knew she filled a need for me and r3 her before even trying her out).

I wait until her combo meter has increased but thirteen, wait a little more than normal, than medium.

Her mediums are single hits btw, so it's not too different from regular champs chaining specials after medium ending combos.

Yeah, it's an issue with her wonky combos. But you can get better at it.

The tricky part is getting from the third light to the second medium. I find that I have to count in my head, and double-count the light hits.

“1, 2-2, 3-3, 4-4, 5”

Or if people ever took boxing classes, it's one (medium) and one two, one two, one two for every light (other than the 4th light or medium combo ender).
