Why isn't he? He was the only one prior to Dark Phoenix that had the nova flame ability yet she is immune and he isn't. Inquiring minds would like to know.

1. Nova flame didn’t get its first immune to a few years after torch’s release 2. There’s many champs who have don’t immunities that they should so it’s nothing new 3. This should stay one of those immunities that not many have
Because at the time, no other champ had Nova Flame, so there was no need for Torch to be immune to it.
It makes sense for Dark Phoenix to be immune to it. She's a new champ and made of fire. Since she now has Nova Flame, and is another champ with it, Kabam will probably update Torch to where he is now immune to it.

He has a case of GhostRiditis. It takes about 7 years to cure on average.
At one time, OG Storm wasn't immune to Shocks, Iceman wasn't immune to Coldsnap and frostbite, and Colossus wasn't immune to anything lol
If you read Storms abilities, it doesn't state she's immune to shock in the comics. She is basically immune to extremely high heat and cold. She's also nearly immune to psychic control too.
But in this game she has no immunities to incinerate or cold snap/frostbite. She's not immune to reverse controls.
Sometimes it's just what marvel wants from the MCOC character.
I was always baffled as to why Captain Marvel isn’t immune to cold and flames . Now I could understand if we are talking about some comic book version but we literally have the movie version in the game . The movie version that regularly flies through the vacuum of space aka the coldest thing in the universe and she renters the atmosphere by herself which again is very hot . It makes so much more sense for her to be immune against the cold and flames then against poison
I still consider it criminal Sandman isn't immune to Dust's Sandstorm.
I don't know - I can see how one cloud of swirling sand might interact unfavourably with a different cloud of swirling sand.
And whilst he's not immune to Sandstorm, he does gain up to +2840 Physical/Energy Resistance from his Resistance Up charges, which can mitigate the Sandstorm damage by about 60%.
And Dust isn't immune to his debuff burst damage, Petrify or Decelerate abilities.

Probably.
So when he is not in nova form, he should take damage from nova flame
He should get nova flame immunity when in nova form but that requires a minor rework to the champion, something that wasn't planned by the game team
