Realm Event: Questions

Just taking a cursory inventory of the ways to get points for the Realm event, is it necessary to do both BGs and Raids to hit the 285K needed for all milestones?

Missed the stream, but perhaps it was addressed there?

I would also like to know this. I want to get the 285K but adding up all the points (yes properly accounting for the reoccurring ones), it doesn’t seem possible. Maybe my math was off but I only got to around 200k. I don’t understand how we are supposed to get more points.

I haven't bothered really doing the math or looking into the realm event much, but it does show that beating a saga sector gives 1k points per zone you beat, so theoretically you could grind zones 1-3 since those are all 2 fights for the points if it works that way. Would be kinda grueling, but probably would be more fun than doing BGs all the time for the objectives.

Or you can replay some of the objectives, for example complete a quest in the valiant gauntlet.
Or they gonna sell these points.

I started to do the math, but then realized it's pretty much impossible to do right now. There's too many "complete a portion" stuff that we don't necessarily know how many portions there will be. Like the special solo objective in August; will there be one, or will there be four or five?
Given that the incursion zone objective is repeatable, the short answer is definitely that you don't need raids or BGs if you just do enough incursions to supplement.
I would guess the milestones are there with the intent for players to do raids and BGs as the quickest way to max out, but thanks to incursions there is an alternative if you really want to take it.
Nothing of the specifics of this event were mentioned in the stream to clue us in on better answering your question.

I don’t think the incursion zones are repeatable. Look at the last milestone in the DSE. It’s actual currency. It’s going to be the same in the incursions. Claim once and done like the normal rewards are.

You’re right about the disagree bots. I just want to know if I need to stress about joining an alliance that does raids or not. It would be nice to know these things beforehand.

Since I will be missing this week of raids, I may have already missed out on the MODOK/Patriot selector before I had the chance to even know about the details of the event, which is really bad design.

Hopefully this isn’t the case and the mystery solo objectives are repeatable enough to make up for it. Either way it would just be nice to get clarification on this since it requires a lot of planning

I still wanna know if that nexus 6* crystal at Milestone 40 is intended, seems a bit weird to get so many 7* shards previously to get a 6* at the 40th milestone.
I'll probably get an answer somewhere in the lines of "Not every summoner has all 6* from the basic pool and it wouldn't be fair for them..."

It says Saga Incursions only. 15 zones give decent rewards. The difficulty vs the reward balance is not worth it after.

Hitting GC gives 12.5k points.
Every raids for next 4 weeks gives 12k points.
Val eq gives 15k points.
Showcase gives 22.5k points
Saga incursions gives 15k points.
There are a lots of points in other events.

I don't see the point of grinding 285 zones tbh.

Back of the envelope calculations…

Hitting GC twice over course of event…25K points

Showcase both paths…15K (unless you can double up points here)

Complete a path in July/Aug Valiant Gauntlet (2.5K ea)…5K

30 days of hitting all BGs objectives (1.2K/ea)…36K

64 days of hitting DSE…29.76K

Complete 15 rooms in Saga Incursions…15K

My math may be off, but I think that’s a running total of 125.76K. There are other events we don’t know much about like the Special Solo Objectives. That raises the question of whether you can hit everything without doing Raids and BGs.

Any input or thoughts on what’s missing appreciated.

Well, if you can t do multiple times something to get more points, what happens with the rank rewards when a few hunderd ppl end up with max points at the end of the event?
