Titan Grace Suggestion

I have now opened 20 total titans since the reset. 18 normal and 2 nexus crystals. This was through several months of saving, completing elder EQ pre and post nerf, 9.3 exploration, buying some crystals with radiance etc. Even after all that, I was not able to pull my number 1 champ, Nico.

I know that RNG needs to be a part of the game, and I have been just supremely unlucky, and that’s how the game works. I’m not trying to come on here and just yell into the void. I’m not saying to get rid of RNG either, or give me the champ I want because I want them. However, I just think if there was a grace threshold with the titan crystals, it would make them feel so much better. This could reset after each Titan rollover, and let you pick one of the champs in the pool.

Cause after months of investing a ton of time in the game to grind for a character I was trying to target, and not getting them even after this many titans, feels atrocious.

Let me know if I’m super off base here, but just wanted to communicate an idea I had 🙌🏼

Super duper off. Let me explain why players need to be content with whatever they pull ((and I'm not saying this because I got nico in 1st 4 crystals i popped open that day titan changed and since then iv opened 4 more titan and only adding sigs on gentle dazzler and gentle again)) because through players diversity and champions is how one enjoys the best mode in the game which is BATTLEGROUNDS. For reference I never had zola and now I'm getting 1 from comp but does it change the fact that I wanted zola a lot in June July metas now not so much.... RNG is overruling every aspect of the game except your skill. So use both for your advantage. TBH I would love to pull ZEMO just because he is quirky fun to play around and last 4 titan i got useless sigs imo still not ranting about anything. Use what you got and titan grace will simply loose Kabam money no point even asking that especially when it's not a thing.

Don’t see how you pulling Nico is relevant, but good for you I guess? And the argument we should be content with whoever we we pull is ridiculous. If I pull green falcon three times out of my titans and my opponent in BGs pulled Karolina, Nico, and Jean Grey, that is not competitive or fun whatsoever. I am going to lose that BGs match. Also, this wasn’t a rant, I was very clear that this was just a suggestion I thought of. I’m not quitting the game or saying Kabam is terrible because I didn’t get lucky

I get why you want it, it just would never make sense for Kabam to do it, and for those reasons they probably never would.

A couple things to consider. Titan crystals are earned rewards. Yes, you can purchase more, but Kabam regularly makes them available for no more than the time it takes you to earn them (whatever that may look like). Whereas the featured grace crystals can only be purchased. Yes, you can use units that you earned, but at the end of the day it is still a purchase. A guaranteed pull that can only be guaranteed after hundreds of dollars spent makes sense because it is a far more significant investment than just earning rewards.

Now, to the RNG part - yes, RNG needs to remain in the game, just as you said. Now look at the RNG for a Titan vs a grace crystals. In the Titan, you have a 1/18 chance of getting the champ you want, or 5.5%, but are guaranteed a 7* no matter what. In the grace crystals, you have a 0.36% chance of getting the 7* champ that you want, or a 1/278 chance. Of course, we're not here to argue if those crystals need the grace system. But for the Titan crystal, if Kabam is going to guarantee a 0.36% chance by turning it into a 0.83% chance, which is still nearly seven times worse odds than you have of getting the champ you want out of a Titan, how many Titans do you think they would require for such a grace system? Especially when we remember that they are earned rewards. The numbers would be crazy, and the odds are already better in your favor that you will pull the champ in fewer crystals than Kabam would be likely to make a guarantee on.

RNG can be your best friend or your worst enemy, but it's a good part of the game to have. Keeps the gamblers itching for more, delivers big losses and big wins. It also forces players to use champions that might not otherwise, developing more knowledge and skill in the game. It is deflating to pull garbage out of a Titan, but nobody is ever here to complain when they hit a jackpot in one of their crystals. It'll happen eventually.

Appreciate the insight! I would be inclined to agree. The implementation of this system would be extremely difficult, and with the pool being 18 champs, I agree the odds are already better than most crystals we can open. I doubt that Kabam would ever implement such a system, but I wanted to share an idea to maybe cut down on how much it sucks not pulling the champ you are chasing. However, objectively, I can’t deny the validity of your message 🙌🏻

I agree .. I have opened 2 crystals and duped dazzler on both occasions.. and that’s messed up

I don't see how they would implement this. I currently have pulled Yelena 4 times in the 14 titans that I have pulled (3 nexuses) and I know she is a wanted champ by a lot of people and would be a great pull for a lot of people. I have had her at sig 200 since the start of the Titan so she is a huge miss for me. I would hate if there was a pity system where she was the reward right now but I could see a lot of people wanting her badly. Coding a system that benefits everyone would be a nightmare.

I caved and bought an extra titan with radiance in a last hope to get nico but it landed on falcon.

My idea is less that a specific champ would be the grace reward, but instead a selector of the current titan pool. But I agree, implementing this system would be a massive headache I’m sure. But discussing ideas like this (which maybe aren’t so good 😅) can lead to much better ideas

I did the same thing and got either dazzler dupe or cyclops dupe, I can’t remember. Your pull is much worse tho, and it feels so bad. I hope his buff is good!

May I ask, when this pool changed, how many of the 12 champs that remained did you already have? Will the total unowned ones be more if you had waited in December?

I'm at 10 titans.

No nico, carol, HE, cass ,zemo, maker. The new set of 6 that just got added.

No galan, or other dupes I want from old set.

It is what it is..... mehh. Titans are more accessible than before, and champs stays in titan for 9 months.

Yeah, I don't see them ever doing something like this. It'd be a lot like the wish crystal idea. Pick a champ you want, then after x number of tries, you get that champ. It would impact pre-sale bundles and a number of other things.

I could see them potentially adding an offer after the champ cycles out of the Titan. If you think about it, that would be 9 months after they hit the crystal. By that time, players would be after the next chase champ anyway.

I think a cool idea would be to have a single selector per titan pool?

Make the selector cost 50k or 75k Titan shards or something like that. So it’d be a big cost but you could get the champ you’re chasing.
