First R4 Decision

Hey all. I’ll soon by able to take my first 7* to rank 4. My three candidates are awakened Medusa, unawakened Photon and awakened Jean Grey.

Now, I love using Medusa, but suspect Photon and Jean are going to have more usefulness in challenging/end game content.

Interested to get thoughts of others. FYI - I also use Photon and Jean regularly too. So even the rank who you enjoy isn’t proving to be much of a tie breaker here.

Photon if I were you. Her sig ability is useful but not essential for what she does. So even unawakened, she is amazing and maybe just slightly ahead of the others

Thanks for you input. That’s what my gut feeling was, that Photon would probably be the best choice here

I would definitely go with medusa or jean. Photon fell too hard tbh. Even in bgs if someone drafts her, most of the time I see them put her on offense instead of defense.

Jean is probably the best choice, but if you like Medusa best go with her for sure - she is great. All good choices, why not just pick your favorite?

Yeah, to be honest my Medusa puts in a lot of work for me. She’s great. Initially thought maybe the other 2 offer more. As great as they are, this and the previous couple messages have swayed me back to my girl Medusa! Thanks for replying all, appreciate it

They all are worth R4, but I would say that Medusa needs the R4 "the least".

If you're taking her against Robots, since they're power locked and ability locked for most of the time, the difference between R4 and R3 is just that the fight will go a little faster. For other fights, she already has a ton of easy to access damage.

Similarly, Jean Grey already destroys a ton with high damaging specials. However, the R4 does make her shield stronger/last longer, so you can get more utility out of being R4 compared to R3.

My vote though, would be for Photon. She's a little slower to ramp up, and her damage doesn't feel that great without being in the light form. Being R4 will help with that.

I agree with Photon or Jean, they are both great dual threat champs and insane damage all around

Man I should've gone with Photon as my first/only R4 instead of Silk. But ya live and learn. The advice from everyone about how Photon needs the R4 more than the other two is sound.

I enjoy Medusa the most of those 3 options. Idk I kinda agree with @captain_rogers about Photon falling off a bit especially if she’s unduped. My Jean is unawakened and probably used least for me right now of these options, mostly just on defense.
