Has the recovery issue gotten even worse recently?

In the past few weeks, it seems to me like the AI recovery issue has gotten even worse than it used to be.

I now regularly observe cases where i punish a defender's heavy or special attack, watch my attack literally pass through the defender, and then watch the defender dodge backwards in the middle of the contact hit. Alternatively, for some champs who have another special queued up, i have seen them launch another special while i am literally in contact with them, as i attempt to punish the previous special.

It's not that the ai is recovering faster than before. It seems to simply be able to ignore my punish attack a surprising portion of the time.

Has anybody else noticed this trend getting worse?

I think this is due to the fix for the silk lock. I think the bandaid was to give the defender a better recovery time. Yesterday I was hit with a light attack beginning combo after a sp3. There was literally no time at all to do anything. Maybe holding block during the special might have worked, but that's impossible when hitting the skip button.

This update has been particularly arduous.

EVerywhere, but BG's in particular. I couldn't go an entire BG match without a major malfunction most of the season. Missed inputs, whiffing strikers, randomly dashing back during combos/dashing into specials. Recovery has also been a lovely frame-skipping bonanza.

I will be saving $1,000.00 this year; however, instead of spending on Banquet. So, that's kinda cool.

I've seen three cases where the defender throws a special with a grey power bar that is just about go green. Or going from sp1 to sp2 in the power bar, they throw the sp2 before it's visually seen.

My theory is that the visuals went see are aa fraction of a second behind what the software is programmed to know as the status (of throwing specials, standing up from knock down, even to parry).

Additionally I think this is why each release it feels like the parry and dex timing is off. I've learned that I have to adjust my timing by a small fraction of a delay. If each release this fraction goes from 0 difference to .1s ( just throwing numbers for example) then it would feel "off" until one rebuilds muscle memory for the new timing.

Tldr; I agree, I think visual timing is delayed a fraction of a second and that fraction changes by a small fraction each release - causing parry to feel off.

Yes, I've seen cases where Serpent holds his special until the power bar fills up, and throws the SP3 before the power bar actually turns red.
