Depends on how Kabam defines middle of the month for November. Cyber Week shouldn't start until the 28th
I have never seen someone so desperate to be convinced to keep on spending in this game like you OP.... There has been no improvement, no show of change or good faith yet and all you want is someone to tell you everything will be great, spend on.
Haven’t you been burned enough yet?
Just go set a grand on fire in your front yard and be done with it.
It’s definitely a story I’m looking forward to watching unfold.
This company doesn’t have the courage to undermine a spending event.
The problems with the game are too numerous. It is impossible to address them in such a manner that would satisfy me enough to return to previous spending levels.
I’ll have enough units saved to hit every Milestone in Banquet. I might spend an Odin for Cyber if the offer catches my eyes.
Other than that, Kabam can suck my toes. One toe for the Odin, the other 9 for each $100 they lost from me by being scoundrels.
Just a heads up OP, considering the mood of the player base lately, nerfing either one would be extremely stupid on their side. The smart move would be let one slide, gain back false trust and then continue their model. Your bar is set way too low.
Regardless, we all want the answer to the golden question: Is Kabam going to set a trend of occasionally selling OP champs only to nerf them months later, or can we have some confidence?
after we get update for yelena ( supposed to be mid oct …next is nico + yelena)
I can't believe how many players can just accept this. All champs (upon their release) should have been tested and should have already been rebalanced before releasing it to the public. They have the CCP, plus, they can release the champ to a few players for beta testing before releasing it. I just got 7 star Karolina on both of my accounts, but I'm afraid to rank her up past rank 2 as I have no idea what's gonna happen after Kabam analyzed their data. This is bad. It's like selling a car and recalling it after they found it it's too fast for the public road. Like i said, Kabam, please test your champs before releasing it. Get it beta tested, do a poll or whatever it is you have to do.
u can't test how they work in live war & live BGs - they need to be on live servers 😂
There many ways to beta test a champ, not just on live war and live bg. 😜
test sure but live server it's different 😂
just like u will see people who play BG from there home vs on stage with light & people watching & hearts pounding - same game 2 different environment
lol..😂😂 you don’t need a ‘heart pounding’ moment to test a champ. We’ll if it makes you happy, try playing BG while juggling two bowling balls on a roller coaster ride.
clearly that's just mean test server and prod server what u expect & what it turn out are totally different.
u think u know until something goes bad in prod
I believe the next Rebalance info are
Yelana and Dark Phoenix, and I assumed the msg from the wonderful Rebalance team will be
"Both are perfectly balanced, no changed needed"
November will be Nico & Karolina, on this one I think Kabam will go for one nerf (too would be too risky for them), and it might be Karolina on the nerf. Nico's leg are too long to get nerf 🤣
This is what I'm afraid of. I have Karolina on my both accounts, I was happy to get her but then I remembered she could get nerfed on the day of rebalance. Now I'm in a situation where I can't decide whether to further rank her up or wait. I'm sure I'm not the only one in this situation, my question is - how can we fix this kind of predicament since there's no guarantee that a champ will remain as it is?
Nico is genuinely unhealthy for the game though. She completely breaks down every buff related nodes/fights in any mode over the last 10 years. Just like how serpent broke every aspect of a "good defender".
I see a bunch of people here saying its going to be Karolina, I truly think she is find, but Nico, I think she is most likely getting the axe. I would be shocked if they nerf both champions given the (rightful) reaction to the Spider-women nerf (which I still think is the event horizon for this game) , but what I find concerning is that I feel like we should have gotten the balance update for October already. Contrary to what some people think, I don't think I will ever be spending on this game the way I used to…if at all, and to be honest, I probably enjoy the forums more than the game at this point but not every player, in fact I would argue most are not on these forums absorbing the different theories be discussed by expeirenced players. The point of this post is genuinely to find out what players think about whether they are pushing the rebalance info for this month back (which I suspect no change) so that they can release the balance info for Nico and Karolina a month from that, which "coincidently" is after the start of the cyber-weekend deals.
I'm not saying they are doing this, I personally would like to think they haven't become those people but, I don't know, I can't be the only one thinking that.
The real reason everyone is saying the nerf will be to Karolina and not Nico is because Nico was designed by DLL and Karolina was not.
Kabam dare not touch their golden boys champions with a 10 foot pole in a negative direction but really dont care about touching any other designers champions.
Thats why it's pretty much unanimously agreed Karolina is going to be the one to get a tune down if either of them are at all
Was about to say the same thing. DLL's champs don't get nerfed. If anything they get buffed.
Theyspecifically have her buff immunity knowing how strong it is so that they could start introducing things to counter it and reduce its brokenness. If they just left it on Claire and never introduced counters to it we'd just never get a 7 star Claire where as now they can start figuring out how to counter it.
If they do anything they wont touch her buff immunity, at least not directly on her kit
Wow "only" giving them $100, you sure showed them!
@Dr. Crab ,
As other already said, the reason for Karolina and not Nico isn't about the champions and their abilities itself.
Of course Kabam can also do a double bluff and surprise us, we will only find out in November.
I have read the process (journey) you went through with Spider Woman. So I think maybe a more important question should be ask, at least to yourself is.
"What would you do if Kabam were to nerf Nico or Karolina, or maybe they won't, but 2 or 3 months down the line (after the Cyber Wknd and Banquet) nerf another one of your favourite champ (old or new)?"
The true is, the only known and guaranteed knowledge that we ever know are Kabam are within their right to change any champs they want, whether we like it or not.
Moleman, Kingpin, Namor was change/nerf/bug fixed without the "need" of rebalancing. Okoya was cleared from "rebalancing" but had multiple "bug fixed". It is not hard for Kabam state that Nico or Karolina is balance and 6 months down the line, "realised" they were bugged. Anything can happen with no guarantee.
Based on that you have decided how you would approach the game, sales event, new champions release, etc.
Also for all those that in the know, does Nico need awakening and if so does she need high/max sign?
People acted like I was insane for suggesting that rebalance info should be out before champs hit the titan. But honestly, you're not wrong either. I get that Kabam claims they need community data on these champs. But at the same time, this will always result in a system where players live in fear of falling in love with new champions, which is really bad for the game.
I don't know what the perfect solution is (and its not my job to find one) but I know the current system is not working. Spiderwoman proved that. People are terrified for Nico and Karolina.
if they nerf karolina thats genuinely dumb
Exactly, this was what I was trying to say. Champs should have already been tested and analyzed before releasing it as a titan crystal. Testing should be done by Kabam, they made the champion, they should know what this new champ is capable of. I'm suprised that they're not doing it and leave the testing to the community at the expense of our own resources. There must be a way to solve this. The feeling of getting a great champ just to be nerfed later is not good. Either way, the feeling of always crossing your fingers hoping that this champ or that champ stays the same is equally terrible.
I tend to agree with this. I'm sure this is a hot take but I feel like the overall general power level of a characters is pretty apparent after a couple weeks of internal testing. I know the game is huge and there are always going to be weird interactions where certain ability/nodes interactions can really buff a characters strength beyond intention, but, personally, I think they can easily determine with a large degree of accuracy the general strength of a champion and the necessity of a buff/nerf pre-release.
You probably have a point. I’m sure only my Titan pull RNG will suffer.
same - yelena & dark pheonix - no change
nico - no change
karolina - need a slight nerf 😂
