Battlegrounds issues

I've always played battlegrounds since it was introduced in the game. Now that I'm playing more often, I'm noticing a trend. Sometimes I'll notice that the defender I place will lose, which is normal, you win some you lose some, but my defender will lose while the attacker wins the match but remains at 100% health. It's as if my champion was just standing still. Either some players are cheating or there is a bug in battlegrounds. Please look into this.
