BG VtD Points Not Always Awarded

I’ve done about 5 bg matches across 2 accounts where I used Venom the Duck, won that fight, and won the match. Only 2 of the 5 awarded an event point. I did a mix of regular and friendly matches.

The friendlies gave me points at least once, but some (all?) regular Gladiators Circuit matches did not. It’s a pain to go through multiple matches trying to pull/win with VtD just to have it not count when you do.

Anyone else seeing this?

Are you getting the KO? Pretty sure it has to be a KO, not just a win

i’ve defeated 5 opponents with VTD and only have been awarded 1 point so far. It’s incredibly frustrating

I have have VtD in my back for over 20 matches. I have drafted and even Ko’ed a champ with him then won the match. No objective rewards for me. Granted this was all in gladiators circuit

I've won with him in friendlies 2x, VT 2x and GC 1x all KO and I have one point awarded in BG Scrambler.

Kabam answered my support ticket about the missing event points, in case it helps anyone.

It looks like “using VtD to defeat an opponent in BGs” means you need to KO the opponent in the round where VtD is used. Timeouts where you win the round do not count. I’m not sure that you have to win the match either. It might just be the individual round.

I think the wording could have been better. I read “opponent” to be the other summoner, not an individual champ, and “defeat”/“use” as just winning the match (or maybe the round) with VtD, not as requiring a KO.

I think something like “knock out a champion in battlegrounds using Venom the Duck” would’ve been less ambiguous.
