Tips on becoming a more endgame player

So I returned to this game about one month ago, and I was only just paragon. I got valiant and started playing a lot again. Just finished 9.3 but I know my account is behind a lot of other people with 30+ rank 3s and rank 4s so I just wanted to ask you guys if there’s any tips or content or things you recommend I do to grow my account.

100% Acts 8 and 9. Until you've done that, don't worry about anything else unless it's expiring content.

From there, move into Epoch, Crucibles and The Ordeal, then start working on the Necro anniversary challenges.

so content wise I’d focus on completing the story content as that’s going to give decent rank up items. Build a good team for grandmasters gauntlet(it’s not hard with the right team) work on building teams for epoch lanes as well. Not sure if you have done the crucible as well but build up your roster for that if you haven’t. Then at that point it’s doing the content that’s left if you want to finish all the content. Do the monthly eq and sq. Do bgs join a raid alliance and do incursions. All that will help get rank up items to build your roster. Oh and this is also the best time to catch up. Spend money on cyber and banquet and you will catch up to the lower end game players quickly. The rest of the content is now outdated imo sorry if I missed anything.

alright thanks. Should I focus more on r2ing r3ing or r4ing champs at this point and should those champs be bg or questing or niche champs?

it depends on what you are looking to do.

My opinion is don’t worry about ranking up champs for BG. The metas change there all the time. For BG, just focus on getting to the GC each month to get the rewards and radiance. Even with a smaller roster, it’s pretty easy if you wait until about the last week when you’ll see many smaller accounts.

Like others have said, focus on story stuff. Take a look at the rewards for Everest content and do those that will really help you now.

Agree on story content. It’s more forgiving g for smaller rosters than something like Crucible or Epoch where the difficulty can jump up quickly if you don’t have specific champs.
