What rewards to do you get if you join raids after the first day, do you get the chest rewards or not?

As long as you are able to join, it doesn't matter when you join as far as rewards are concerned. Definitely wouldn't want to leave your pathmates to do all the work without you though.

Joining now gives you 1 point which is enough to qualify for your alliance rank rewards w/o having to actually do a fight and you can travel down a path (even if already fully explored) and pickup the chests.
