Raid tickets just got *much* more expensive?
With the introduction of essentia, Kabam said our purchasing power wouldn't be going down.
But I usually buy my raid tickets with loyalty. It was previously 2k loyalty per raid ticket. Now, 2k loyalty buys you 20 essentia, and it takes 70 essentia to buy a raid ticket. This means the purchasing power of my loyalty has been cut by an astounding amount - it was just devalued by over 70%.
It was also previously stated that the old exchanges would be around a while to ease the transition. But that is not the case - we are no longer able to buy raid tickets with anything but essentia or units.
To break it down: if I had known this would be the exchange rate, and converted all my loyalty to raid tickets, I would have been able to buy 3.5x the raid tickets with the loyalty I have than I can today.
Is there something I'm misunderstanding here? Have I made a mistake in my math? If not, this seems like a massive purchasing power reduction for the millions of loyalty that I have. I didn't worry about doing this conversion early because I was assured that purchasing power would not be reduced, but unless I'm wrong here, that's not how the reality has played out at all.
