Real, genuine question

Does anybody actually enjoy playing this game anymore?

This is aimed at those who have played for years, not newbies here.

Are just going through the motions of a game we've played for 10-years and can't seem to quit? Lets just evaluate what we do daily:

AQ: 4 weeks cycle of standard AQ which is terrible and hasn't changed in forever, rampant AQ or whatever that is just 5 days AQ in one map and offers same crappy rewards. Raids, cool I guess but they keep limiting the champ pool and forcing us to choose boring champs and it's just the same fight that you can't solo. Coliseum, fun until you have to play it more than standard AQ or pay money to compete because its yet another game mode Kabam heavily monitised.

EQ: boring AF, having to go through normal difficulty is mind numbing and then elder isn't exactly hard just all time consuming and can be done in a week with average play time

sQ: I don't remember the last time side quest was fun, the whole 3* champ do this do that was just awful to be honest

Arena: I mean it's arena

BG: basically just arena for first 2 weeks and then half decent last 2 weeks of GC but hasn't had any love in well over a year and just the same thing over and again for old/out dated rewards

War: same everyday, no real change just feel obligated to do it for again same old rewards

Carinas: GREAT addition, but first 4 have been easy AF and idk about the next 2 but all can be rattled off pretty quick and easy so short lived

Act 9: takes 6 months to release and gets rattled off in a week

Just all boring, nothing new, nothing exciting and when something new does come it's terrible; essentia, ascension

I feel like I'm logging in for the sake of it, I don't enjoy it, the rewards aren't exciting, 7* crystals are worthless, Titans are fun for 1 hour every 3 months theres literally zero thrill anymore.

I don't know, wouldn't mind seeing how everyone else feels, if there's something to give it a bit more enjoyment somewhere

No, and when you add in the company screws you at every turn I definitely am looking for other games to play. Does anyone believe they didnt know this essentia and BG was going to be an issue. They did the same thing when they changed arena a few years back. They create problems, then give back the smallest amount.

Nope. I've pretty well checked out at this point.

I only stay in my alliance because of the people and do what I need to do there.

This will be the first time since radiance has been released that I haven't pushed to GC for the radiance rewards.

The carinas have been fun but other than that, I'm bored out of my tree in game.

Yeah, still having fun. If it stopped being fun, I'd stop playing. There are definitely times I get annoyed and irritated with the game though.

I have fun doing certain things. I have stopped doing a lot of stuff and only spend time doing certain things. I do dislike some of the design choices in terms of quests and champs. However I did enjoy doing the abyss again with 7*s.

Yup Still enjoy it! I enjoy collecting rewards, I enjoy claiming my rewards, I enjoy opening crystals, I enjoy BG, acts, and other games modes. I'm not a super gamer so all the little or big things the community don't like doesn't bother me. 9-10 year player :)

As for the first 4 Carina's being too easy, I have a feeling you will enjoy the last 2 then:)

I enjoyed them, yes, pretty easy for a veteran player, but still fun .. it's basically just fun to choose your teams and discuss with others which team and why, etc.

And a chance to show how well your selected team did (try using champs that aren't the top 5 most chosen meta champs on YT to make it more fun or interesting)

As for enjoying the game, yeah I am

I am not really disappointed with the new ascension system *yet* .. I think its pretty in line with how a base pool 8 star release would work and at least the box champs limit the rng for that pool

I think it's a matter of view.. as someone who already enjoys playing different champions (not exclusively using the same meta champs everyone else does) I think the ascension system has something to offer in discovering different champs that you hadn't previously given a chance.. and maybe even decide they are fun to play *and* effective (actually effective, unlike pre buff Cyclops:)

Now, while I think the means of acquisition of the first 2 ranks of ascension are fair.. it's the next 9 ranks that I think might not be good - only time will tell (will selectors be offered and how often, etc.)

But the first 2 ranks seem equivalent to "pull and dupe the 8 star version" except we don't need to start the sig level chase all over

But as it stands, I have 33 R3 and 1 R5 and there are approximately 40 more champs I'd like to R4 atm.. meaning there is something for me to work towards or be engaged about.. so that is good and will keep me playing for now

There will be growing pains if the character pool becomes more balanced.. as people who have focused on the very top characters only will be disappointed that that can't immediately ascend these champs (but that's also how 8 star would work).. but if you look at the power level of 2025 champs.. something had to give lol.. that wasn't sustainable to make every character super powerful.. it raises the bar each time, at a certain point how would you design content for them?

All is to say that I think ultimately it's a more sustainable game long terms if the characters become a little more balanced.. another benefit being more freedom of choice and agency into which characters we choose to play (if there is more than one option to accomplish a specific RPG ask and they all do it with approximately the same effectiveness) and we can actually decide who is fun for us specifically *and* effective at the task before them

I don't know, I just don't get any excitement anymore.

7* are worthless to me as I have every champ in there and if they're worth ranking and sigging then they're already maxed out.

Titans are just dull, they take way too long to swap over and the champion releases of late are mediocre most of the time.

There's not even excitement from rewards, great we placed masters war or Quantum BG and what do I get? Currency... Where's all the crystals to open? I get to just add it to the bank I haven't spent. It's sinfully boring. I miss getting tonnes of rewards and having a bunch of crystals to open after a war season or BG season. Radiance is just lazy, it should have been added to milestones or progressing through VT, season end rewards should be crystals and rank up gems but Kabam couldn't be bothered to update rewards.

I think they only crystal worth opening now with any kind of excitement is from the ascension crystals, but Kabam can go f*ck themselves if they think I'm spending on them 😂 they should be giving out nexus greater empowered crystals in top rewards and put some champions people actually want to pull in there, champions with value, Kabam knows who we have ranked why the f*ck is patriot in there?! Come on, who asked for that? 😂😂

Idk feel like it's all just bullsh*t coming from Kabam, they're lazy, try push everything into earning currency as a reward so they have less work, content is stale because they can't be bothered to improve it... I mean still have to do easy mode EQ to earn our right to elders? F*ck me Kabam, is being top % of the game not good enough? 😂

There are for sure times when the game becomes boring or not fun for me, and at that point I stop playing, maybe for a day, maybe for a week. But then I come back and there is usually something new to do that makes it worthwhile for me to play.

I guess I'm different in that when the game stops being fun, I just log off and do something else, instead of posting on social media about my disappointment and how much Kabam sucks.

This is a loaded question. Obviously people still enjoy the game. They wouldn't be here if there wasn't some kind of enjoyment. This feels like another Thread to rant about the game.

The real question is do YOU? I'd say not, considering you've expressed distaste in every Thread I've seen. What keeps YOU playing?

Habit, seems to be the reason most of the people I know still play. Habit and commitment to not screw over their alliance is the only reason anyone I speak to is coming back with and it's the exact same for me.

Maybe there's still hope left, that Kabam might actually do something right for a change

Taking off my lurker panties and putting on my poster pull ups... The game's still fun for me. I lead a mediocre alliance full of good dudes. And sure there's plenty of issues, we all know them, but I'm about to rank my first R5 and pretty excited about that. It's gonna be serpent, cause I really like questing with him.

Hoping the game pulls up from this nose dive. It's been the only thing I've played these last 10 years, and want it to keep going.

That's an understatement 😂 I don't see how you could feel worse? This is arguably the worst state the game has been in... You have so many big names leaving, content creators who's entire income depends on this game saying it's in its worst state and the sentiment across almost all the top end chats is that Kabam are literally milking it right before it dies

Ive played since launch and theres definitely been worse times. I still remember the 3 months that parry was just broken during lockdown, and on a quality of life level its better than its ever been. The thing with content creators leaving is that unlike us theyre forced to play the game and that will inevitably lead to higher burnout. Im not saying we're in a golden age but the idea that theyre milking it before the game dies is just ridiculous considering all the stuff they've done for longevity. People have said the game is about to die many times over the years and its never been true. Do you genuinely think they would have done summoners fest if they were planning on letting the game die soon?

Im sorry that not everyone agrees with you, but as someone who also gets sucked into rabbit holes complaining about things maybe you genuinely just need to step away instead of projecting your negative feelings on every single person that plays the game
