I thought BGs was supposed to be faster

At first eliminating attacker heath made matches go very quickly because people were less careful and just went for the kill. Ik there were a lot of complaints but adding protection has done the exact opposite. Matches are going full time now and taking forever. It's absolutely horrible.

yep, protection nukes any speed benefit of eliminating the health bar.

There is no redeemable aspect of this season

Was thinking the same, I don´t like the scoring system but the node ins´t bad.

This is the number one reason I hate BGs. Takes too long and there's so much waiting around. Here's an idea….
You pick your roster like normal.
You ban 3 or 5, or whatever it is at the time, like normal
Then it auto picks half of your pool and you pick 4, then opponent, then you pick last 3 (basically removing two of the selections for each person).
And then you reduce the times between matches (where it shows the stats).
And remove all of the transition screens that take 10 seconds.
Add a vibration whenever the screen changes so people don't complain

This could shave off a few minutes per round. I think it could at least be worth a test week between seasons.

To go a step further, I think if you eliminated every aspect of choice and a fight just immediately started in BG when you match, it would be better.

Have the game auto-pick your team and auto matchup at random, so you can simply push find match and instantly go to the fights.

Honestly, I'm all for this. Call it BG express and you shrink the roster to 10-15.

idk if its just me but when I load into bg my first draft I like never get to pick it it always auto picks

Agree. It took me some adjustment time but that is usually how it is every season.

I decided to go with full suicides and revised my deck a little bit and I'm having fun in the offseason. Fights are actually very fast, at least for me, but usually not for my opponents.

I'm sure me and all the other celestial players will end up in celestial again, and all the non-celestial players will end up non-celestial again and make many posts about how terrible the mode is, even though one of the main criticisms (unavoidable damage from unfair defenders like Captain Britain Serpent and Dark Phoenix) is not even a factor this season.

The main issue with those champions and the unavoidable chip was that you needed to draft specific counters in order to not take that damage and get a good score.

Now that is no longer the case... because they took that concept and shifted it a bit to the left. Now you dont need specific champions that let you avoid chip. You now need specific champions that let you kill the same copy and paste stall defenders as fast as possible.

Nothing about the core issue has changed expect for the coat of paint it's presented to us with.
