This BG meta is terrible

I know this gets old. But, man this meta is rough. No, I'm not the most skilled. However I usually finish low mysterium or Quantum 1 or 2.

Where shall i start? Every 10 seconds the node switches. That's fine. However, after knocking down the defender , they decide to retreat no matter how much you bait and wait it out until protection returns. Or, and i know this gets old, but the back draft intercept from the AI has returned.

I will get to GC this season. But you guy's, Kabam, aren't making it fun. There's no skill required.

Yeah this is Kabam just forcing players to play the game mode they f ed over by not fixing the AI, and many other things have been said, plus putting the Blade piece their so any player is forced to play after the last 2 months of players dropping out of the mode is nothing but horrid behavior from them

For the first time, I’ve decided not to play BG’s this round. The meta is bad, not remotely fun and feels like a chore, the matchup is just straight up broken as it’s always been. A game is supposed to be fun not a chore

Its miserable dude. I'm not sure if I can even do it anymore to be honest. It sucks because I have all the other Blade pieces, but my goodness, even in Silver its like entire decks of nothing but the most egregiously annoying rank 4 defenders.

Honestly, I just don't know what to do about Battle Grounds as a mode entirely. You spend an hour playing it and 40 of those minutes is just waiting on selecting screens, and when your not, just waiting, your fighting the same, unbelievably unenjoyable defenders, over and over and over again. Its just brutally boring and thats if you actually make progress in that hour. I don't know, I don't want to have to pay 2k every single character to just get doom but I don't know, I just hate this mode.

This new Season 38 meta is a brilliant idea. Really, keep going in that direction, it clearly makes everyone enjoy the mode so much.

If the goal was to slowly kill Battlegrounds, then honestly you’re on the right track.

And about the Stellar Blade piece… how exactly are players supposed to get the last one with this meta?

Right now it just feels completely unreachable unless everything suddenly goes your way.

But I guess that’s part of the “fun”, right?

I wouldn't classify this meta as a F2P vs P2W issue. Your deck strength is a major factor in most metas, whether they include health as points or not. Nobody likes this mode, whales and F2P players alike.

Correct. I’ve lost to opponents with significantly lower prestige.

You play well, beat a defender in less than a minute and have 30-50% more health remaining than your opponent but lose because they won a few seconds faster.

Designing this meta should be a fireable offense.

High time to just remove losing a medal. If you want to go back to 1 medal wins whatever, but stop punishing players for the loss, let them just keep moving forward. GC is the place they can get punished over and over again and go nowhere, thats fine. Let them enjoy something about VT.

If someone told me that in 2026 eating a sp3 is an actual strategy that can get you wins when facing **** AI that holds their sp2 for 10 seconds at 2.8 bars of power, I would certainly call them crazy
