Confused a bit regarding Collectives

When entering BG deck arrangement, you can see the boosted pi and stats post collectives upgrade but when entering a match and dragting, its back to regular basic PI and Stats.

I thought Kabam said it will work in BGs and Wars too...

I believe Kabam stated that it will, but not this season.

If collectives apply in BG won't it basically make it impossible for a lower player to beat a higher one? If you have say level 14/15 and the other is at 19/20 they'll have a large adv. I mean you may have already had no chance, but you could just not have as many 7s get lucky with matchups or something etc. It just feels like post collective you won't be able to damage as fast even if you play just as well as the other person. They're basically playing with a boost over you.

But if it is applied to bg then two accounts that are say both using R4 Sig 200 Nico vs a R4 Sig 200 Serpent, and play exactly the same, the account with the higher collective rank will always win?

The account with the higher collective rank will start from a better position, but there is no guarantee of winning.

I'm saying they play identical from a skill standpoint, the higher collective will have higher attack and def so if its the same combos, same specials same timing everything, the higher collective will always win. In reality they won't always win, but it will be very difficult for a lower collective to even have a chance whereas previously they could win if they had better skill alone.

It's already difficult, but you can play really well and sometimes still come out on top. This is just going to further the gap making it even more difficult and in some cases feel futile.

As it stands (or stood), when I was matched against someone way above me, I could still try and feel like I had a shot even if it was thin, now it's gonna just feel that it will value roster over skill, whereas skill used to be an important factor.

Nobody is arguing that the current scoring is overly friendly towards players that do nothing more than just have a bigger account. But collectives will not feel remotely like it does now. The difference between someone at level 13 and someone at 18 is like 6% each of health and attack. Not game-breaking.

13 vs 16 is 12% attack and 6% health. That's basically them playing with a boost while the other is not.

The incentive is to spend, spend and spend some more. Thats why the big points come from new champs. I just wish they would fix the bugs that have plagued the game for years instead finding new ways for players to churn their accounts.

Easy to spot the whales from these posts.. collectives might be the New Shiny Thing in game, but lets not forget the purpose was to give the bigger spenders more of an advantage in BGs. Matching players with higher levels then you basically negates the whole benefit of them

Yes, if both players with equal skill were in a mirror match, the person with a higher collectives score will win. Higher stats equals more damage which results in faster times.

Only stupid people would disagree that collectives don't massively benefit whales.

Imagine going against a whale with A rank 5 ascension lvl 2 who has all his collectives at rank 20. Guy literally has almost 30% higher attack rating just because he spends thousands on the game.

The goal is clearly to push people to spend for accession as you get way more points for that than even taking a 7s to rank 4 is worth 170 while ascend lvl 1 is 500 and lvl 2 is 1100
