There are a few Ghost Riders out there that we don't have in the game. There's GR 2099, who is cool as all heck. He's a cyborg Ghost Rider. He died in the real world and uploaded his consciousness into cyberspace, where he met some AIs that wanted him to be their Avatar in the real world and plopped him into a robot body. Has a flaming chainsaw for a hand, if I'm not misremembering things.

Then there's Robbie Reyes, who uses a car instead of a motorcycle. If you ever watched Agents of Shield, that was the GR they used. Love him. I would really like to see him do a comeback.

We've got Fantasma, but I doubt we'll see her anytime soon. She'll probably come eventually, but we're still months out from seeing the actual winner come to the game so it'll probably be a while until Fantasma comes.

But then we've got my favorite Ghost Rider. The Ghost Rider of pre-historical times. I don't know much about him as a character but HE RIDES A BURNING FREAKING MAMMOTH and that's quite enough for me to want to see him in the game.

Except that it makes 0 sense for them to have another ghost rider in the pipeline besides Fantasma at this point.

She was in the vote so they wouldn't have planned to make a second ghost rider anywhere near her if she had won.

They wouldn't have suddenly shifted all ghost rider plans just because she lost. They plan things months and months in advance.

Im assuming this is still Fantasma and this will just be unknown until maybe the beginning of next year or the end of this year.

Stop huffing copium brother lol we haven’t even seen a glimpse of the Summoner’s Choice winner yet, or even seen any mention of the runner up and you over here thinking it’s definitely Fantasma who didn’t even make it to the finals. If there was a mystery synergy pointing at any of the runner ups coming to the game then it would’ve gone to Ham since Pork Grind took second place. It is way more likely for it to be Robbie Reyes who is well known rather than Fantasma who most people really only know about because of the vote.

I don't think they would buff Ghost Rider and then release a stellar forged version of him. The most probable character is Robbie.

I'm sorry, but they're not going to spend months completely overhauling a character to the point where they're basically new (Ghost Rider) and add a Ghost Rider stellar forged in the same months, just like how I had to argue with people on reddit that are convinced that a Mutant Magik will be the next stellar forged when they literally just updated Magik and want everyone to focus on a radiance chase with her.

we got jean grey, the phoenix rework, and then dark phoenix in almost consecutive months last year so i don't think its off the table

Interesting connection to the Comic Book that was in the background at the beginning is there is a Ghost Rider character, Sal Romero. He helped the Thunderbolts in the One World Under Doom. Not a guarantee, but what if they used the comic both to be used for Wave coming in and teasing another champion for the future?

With the synergy being Staring Contest (Family) it does appear to tease a Spirit of Vengeance character (The Penance Stare). Robbie Reyes does seem more likely, but could it also be a villain closely connected to Ghost Rider and Blackheart is a good chance as he is Mephisto's son. Could he also come in October? Just thinking out loud.

Regarding whether or not this is Fantasma I could possibly still see it even though it's very unlikely. The reason is that back in 2024 they released white tiger in January despite losing to Gladiator in 2023. Gladiator came out in september. That was only a 4 month gap. I know she barely lost to him and so maybe that's why they added her, but it was still a surprise to me they added her so quickly after losing. So I could maybe see Fantasma happen for January of next year. Colossus AOA will still be the summoner's choice of this year. Once we enter 2027, all losers of this year's summoner's choice become possible for that year.

I mean what other character from those options would have a synergy with champions that have been added in the last 3 months? If we got a Colossus rework we would have seen one for aoa Colossus, but we got a ghost rider rework so they're synergy was for the other potential ghost rider that was potentially joining this year.
