Damm BGs is bad (no one is playing)

- only under 6k (no one in Gamma1)
- all are bouncing around 50 points
- getting matched instantly but no progress for me WLWLWLLLL
- compared to last season 1/3rd are in GC this season rest 2/3rd i doubt (but maybe just because of SF piece) (probably not crossing 20k in GC)

BGs is completely miserable this season. Matchmaking makes no sense, dumb scoring system, and the best part of it all is that the FINAL Blade piece is located somewhere that feels impossible to reach for most. I predict that after this season, the majority of the player base will ignore BGs unless there are rewards that players can’t afford to miss, but I can’t even think of what the rewards would need to look like for me to play BGs ever again…

Or like me, hit 16 points and got Blade piece and put the mode down in disgust.

BGs meta is just one of several misfires lately—participation is the only way the mode works, and for now the game team seems convinced they have to make players play (e.g., GC gated prizes) rather than providing incentive for them to play (e.g., making the mode competitive + enjoyable).

Without the final Blade piece, I doubt participation would even be as high as it is.

And (assuming you are correct) here’s the dumb thing…

… if they get caught, and if they get banned, no one who is below them will move up in the rankings to where they actually should be ranked because that’s how the team handles competitive modes.
