I think its was a perfect demonstration of what bgs is now compared to a few years ago. His roster was slightly different, but not underpowered. Just without the same top 20 meta options. Seatin played some phenomenal games using skill and still didnt stand a chance. It could not have been any more clear what the issues with BGs are, and that needs to be taken on board the next time Kabam feels the need to make casual players play bgs.

that´s the result of bad rank ups , he did it for science and to have fun on his ftp acc , still most of the people complaining have a garbo deck with bad rank ups and barely play bgs so they have to climb way more, if not even a good player like him can do much imagine those guys , bgs is not as bad as everyone is trying to make it look , everyone that play and likes bgs got the blade piece super ez even seatin , i just got back to the game last month after an year without playing and i made to the circuit in the first week with 20+ r3s in my deck, the thing is that no one complains about the real problems in bgs like the rng in the draft defining if its a win or a loss before the game starts and how rerrolls give you the same champion stuff that kabam can easily fix , is always matchmaking or the meta, and don´t get me wrong this meta sucks for sure, but is tottaly playable tho , the most f up part of his stream was the amount of times he got that error lol that is really lame from kabam.
His F2P account is elder. Not like it's a baby account. It's pretty well developed compared to most F2P players so gives a good idea of what most F2P players can expect.
Dude, he was relying on Sandman defense the whole 2 hours. Skill is out of the question; but its an account with fun or experimental rank ups.

that’s hardly an account you can make generalized observations about, firstly it’s only 6 months old, no 6 month old accounts would make it to GC, secondly he has many champs that would work better for battle grounds unranked because of the primary focus on the account is to use “non-meta” champs.

There's alot of people that seem to be missing the point. If you have to play bgs by ranking up certain champions and using them, then why dont they just give us a set deck each season? This game cannot just survive on only using meta champions when the whole ecosystem relies on acquiring and ranking up champions.

it means that his rank ups aren´t good enough for this meta which is a very unforgivable meta for this situation and being a ftp acc with a bunch of oddballs rank ups he does not have better options for the meta , he was fighting kindred with blue marvel in a meta that purifies debuffs, playing purgatory on defense like bruh , you need options for bgs that´s not a new or a bad thing in bgs, is what keeps the game mode competitive .

Agree with this. In addition certain times of the day and certain times on certain days of the week are also more conducive to getting wins than others. It only takes 3 matches to let you know what a BGs session is going to be like.
If you’re getting nowhere in those three matches another two hours of slog and pain isn’t going to help you.
And don’t go into a session cold. Run some arena first or any other mode just to warm up.
It's funny that people are talking about his rankups. You people are clueless.
This post is 100% on the mark because it's not aimed at meta rats like me (Masters player and former Celestial) who get to GC in . It's asking about the average player who does rank ups because they want to. Most of those people do not have the history or skill with this game that Seatin does and would find it even worse with slightly better decks.
The Blade piece should have not have been a GC requirement in a season where health points don't matter.
yep. It’s an elitist mode now. GC is where all the big boys who love competition should exist. Someone with seatin’s skill should be able to clear VC with any elder roster. Instead, everyone has to build the same roster if they want to get to GC (which I have complied with sadly - thus I am in GC despite being far less skilled than seatin).
Still think the easiest solution is remove the loss of medals from VC. Let GC be the tournament. Victory track death matches and roadblocks is just stupid.
I don’t think battlegrounds should only be about the top meta 30 champs, especially in victory track, it’s very boring to only see the same champs everyday on every account
Personally that’s why I started ranking up less common champs like Emma frost and still managed to get GC
Diversity is fun, same deck on 100.000 accounts is very boring and stale
Its really funny to see people leaving out details to fit their own story. Saying things like a game should not be about ranking up the same champs, it should be diverse, fun, use the champs you like. He had 0 defender value, can't expect to play a pvp mode with no defensive value.
The real question should be, if Seatin was able to take that roster to Elder, why is not everybody Elder yet? What is the excuse of the people who are not Elder?
Because becoming Elder requires time to play the game and skill. NOT defensive BG Meta champs. But keep up the argument that makes no sense and misses the point.

It misses the point of what? He built a story roster, and the meta didn't favor him. Tell the best mechanic in the world to fix cars with just a screw driver and see what happens.

I’m going to watch it just to see a really good player get his backside handed to him. A bit of humble pie in small doses doesn’t do anyone any harm.
My big takeaway from all the above is that when it comes to BGs rosters matter, and at least having a few key meta champs matters. As fun as it would be to have a roster full of fun and interesting champs they aren’t going to get you into GC. You need a good dose of meta staples for that and realistically they need to be at rank 4 and higher.

You give a mechanic everything he needs to fix a car. He fixes the car. You're wondering why everyone doesn't just fix cars. Well with the proper tools and SKILLS, someone can fix a car, mechanic or not. You don't need a jet ski to fix a car.
The point is that people are irritated because the piece was locked in what is probably one of the worst metas ever if not the worst (I actually think this was done on purpose to snuff out some cheaters they couldn't find).
FYI: I didn't watch the stream (no need the general concept is here in the thread), I've been in GC for awhile now and every season. Elder day 2. I'm arguing with you because you spout nonsense and are toxic. And are really bad at metaphors.
