Collectives/Towers have given new life to my love of this game
For context, I'm a 10 year elder player who has cleared all the endgame content. I don't particularly enjoy battlegrounds. Before collectives and towers, I fell into the wheel of chasing the same meta champs as everyone else. I felt like 7 star crystals were worthless and I only wanted a few select champs out of the ascension pool. This meant that all I was doing was AQ/AW and farming units for the next sale to rank up the same champs as everyone else. I was feeling a bit burnt out and the game felt stale. I never gave much value to 80-85% of my roster. Collectives and Towers have changed all of that. Now, every 7 star crystal adds value to my collectives. Now, ANY ascension champ has value. Not just an instant 500 points to collectives, but any ascended champ has very real value for towers. I've found myself taking champs to rank 2 and rank 3 that had just been collecting dust for months/years. I'm using them more in towers and appreciating their different playstyles. I find myself looking for way to maximize the breadth of my roster and gain any little advantage for boosting my collectives and towers roster. I don't like battlegrounds, but I respect everybody that does. Towers gives players like me a chance to work towards accumulating chunks of radiance, something that my fairly solid account is lacking. I know that not everyone is loving towers. But for me, combined with collectives, I am finding a renewed enjoyment for the game. Every crystal opening has value, and that is so fun to have that feeling again!
