The game experienced a brief connectivity issue this morning. The team promptly fixed the issue and things are back to normal, thank you to everyone who passed along reports!

My first alliance experience. Noob experience.

Just got recruited by someone to join their alliance. I was happy because they dont need you to be on Line, and I dont want line (Enough of my wife calling me on messenger, lol).
After 2 days of only helping other members, the leader of my alliance tell me that we will merge with another alliance, 15 of us. Since he was the one who recruited me, I quit the alliance to join the other. After a couple of hours in the new alliance, my ''buddy'' got an argument with the leader of this alliance, and quit. So, I followed him.
After some talking with my ''buddy'', trying to convince him to get us to rejoin the first alliance, just saw, later on, that he was in another.

So, is it always like that? Ppl without loyalty?
I'm a kind of loyal guy, in real life and playing. If this is what is Alliance, I think I will continue play by myself.

If u want an alliance, u could friend me and then message me in-game. Find Spirit of Joy with 4/40 crossbones as profile champ. We'd appereciate another loyal member. @NEO_mr_Anderson

Sorry to hear about your sub-par 1st run with an alliance. I've been playing for about 2 1/2yrs now, and have been a member of 4 alliances. A bit humorous because I've had quite similar experiences that you described(recruited, merging, get in argument n leave with a friend....) I suppose I've been fortunate enough to have played alongside fairly loyal alliance members. From my experiences, "mergers" tend to have a very low success rate. And as for loyalties, there are countless players that join for a bit then leave, sometimes come back and leave again., and the #1 reason I have observed is that some players want to grow faster or win higher tier rewards and they find higher rated alliances that can oblige that goal. I personally believe most of those players do not do it with ill intent or to be disloyal. Don't be discouraged, you'll eventually find an alliance to call home just like I and many others have. We started our alliance in Sept. 2016 and to this day, about 1/3 of us have been here since day 1, and the rest have been here for over 6 mos with a couple leaving for growth reasons. I'll close with this. Although not foolproof, one way to find out if an alliance is for you is to ask the leader and officers what their objectives are as a group, what type of requirments they set as minimums, how active each member must be(alliance events), and if they are involved in frequent mergers. Good luck to you!

Just read the recruitment forum rules(should've done it before posting. Hehe) matrix fan, if you have interest in joining an alliance again or want to get some more info, feel free to "friend request" me in game. My game id is the same as it is here, WOKnWOH.

It's a **** shoot until you find a good group of people. I was in one fir almost a year. Leader got banned we fell apart. Switched to one for less than a week and been in this one for well over a year. We have minimal turnover once people join and those who leave or are booted are in well deserve of it.

You were pretty naive to expect anything else to happen after spending very little time with this 'buddy' to begin with.

Loyalty is a fickle thing in this game. Coming from experience I was the leader of my current alliance for over a year. We grew from 2.5m to 8.5m. Incidentally we came together from a merge. So there were multiple dynamics going on. At the end it came down to the us and them argument. Funnily enough all of my guys remained loyal and even some of their guys stayed.

Loyalty cannot be expected so lightly. It is earned and gained over time but never guaranteed.

One harsh truth is this is a game. People want to play with other people they get along with. No drama. Regardless of play activity what's really important is spending your time with people you get along with.

If you're just a progress-**** you'll jump ship as long as it serves your purpose to get rewards asap no matter the cost. No matter how selfish you look. No mater what reputation you'll gain.

I wouldn't stigmatize people as progression-whores. Some players are not necessary disloyal, but want to progress in the game. Sometimes you have to make a hard choice to move to a better alliance and leave other members that you get along with. It is just part of the game.

Some people betray alliances and join another one for their own purpose but some only leave their alliance because the members become inactive
