About Iron Patriot

I play this game since January, but I'm starting to understand it now. And I have a question:

If I place a duped Iron Patriot in war defense, at immunity node (52) does that mean he will not receive the debuff from his sig hability? Is he going to work like Iron Man?

It should mean opponent cannot place a debuff (negative effects) on IP.

IP's sig. ability works as normal.

He works okay on that node in lower tiers, but as you climb higher you will want to stop using him for AW defense. He rarely gets kills in the higher tiers.
