In dungeon the total available points for me is less when compared to other players ... can I know the reason

Your prestige places you within a certain category of rewards. If you don't meet certain prestige requirements then you won't be able to get as many milestones as people with higher prestige.

It's based off of your prestige. Go to https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/95823/dungeons-return-sept-17-oct-2#latest to look up the prestige tiers for their rewards

How to increase my prestige points

The only way is to rank up your champs. There are lists out there that show which characters have the highest prestige, if you need a guide.
