Alliance > Links > Development

Greetings Summoners, after writing this, I thought whether this thing might be useful or not. After all I decided to write about it here.
• Alliance - is one of the most interesting game features, but some people prefer to develop them, while the others just create them, and this topic is surely for the first type.

- What if it were able to create a kind of a menu, where an Alliance Leader could make a link, Summoners could use to visit their Alliance page.

The main thing, is that a lot of people use line app, messengers, and other sources, where they may communicate.
And I devided this idea into some small parts, where different types of solving this are described .

1) Add an extra button In alliance menu called 'Links' - here the Summoner may click, and visit a web-page;
Disadvantages
• Some players may use it as a source of advertising of something (I mean, not their alliance), or spread something not-in-game.
So, it might be impossible to check all web-sites, and the solution is simple: the domain of this site might be well-known, like:
a) Facebook [USA], b) VKontakte [Russia], c)Qzone [China] and others (excuse me, if I shouldn't write names of networks, but I used them as an example, surely, I don't know a lot of them, so, just 3 with the biggest amount of users)

After it, people can only use this links in that menu, and the next issue will be:
• What if some people still have no information about their alliance at that pages
- So, other Summoners may use a special button and a report would be send; (here I mean, this should be checked by some other people, and if there is no information about an Alliance - link is removed, and the leader will recieve the message ' You can only use this menu for your Alliance ' or something like that)

2) It may be a special forum thread, somewhere in Leader's profile (so, only Leader may create it, but officers may add posts), and only alliance members can use this (so, Summoners from other alliance can't read secret informations for members only)
The biggest disadvantage of it is - It takes a lot of time to do it, and surely, a lot of information must be saved, expensive, very expensive.
Also here, might be a kind of automatisation like 'accept invitation if: (categories of a player like 'level', 'champions' and so on)' + information about an alliance like 'active war Time Left = 12h' so, to link it with game. (which makes forum more popular)

And what are the advantages of it ?
So, the main point is, that people may use forum (if type 2) ) or social networks (if type 1) ) without other programms, all they need to do is to sign-in ;
It may help people to develop their alliance and make a lot of interesting things like devision, to simplify searching for alliance (if type 2) ) All The Summoner needs is just chose a needed type (opened + silver2 + ...) and the main page of an alliance will be opened.

I really understand, that some people may say, that it is useless, but I have met a lot of people who gave the Contest up just because of Alliances, it was like (oh no, the use line, but I don't like to download it - he finds an alliance without line and after it - oh no, we don't have enough feed back) and leave.
• So, and now why it is useful

1) Summoners have more space and sources, where they may make their alliance better, because they spend time while making all the information about it. + (you don't need to share information about yourself, like your phone number, and other things)
2) Summoners don't need to print the link, like https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com - all they need to do is just click (now, in game, we can't click )
3) A lot of things may be added to alliances (like, not only new acts), but also some interesting events chains like
a) Developing alliance (make your alliance in bronze - reward; in silver - reward) - which may only be claimed once (collect them all and get an exclusive avatar )
b) The well-known alliance (your alliance was visited N-time)
and so on;

It may make the Contest flexible, and even more interesting. Connection with Summoner's profile adding achievements.

I hope, you enjoy this idea, or just think about it, thanks for reading and have a nice day !

    I really like the idea, makes recruiting a fair bit easier, and it could potentially be linked to the alliance recruiting page on the forums in the future, like an ally links option, which would help leaders from having to post updates over and over, and just make things easier for everyone, and you could potentially add filters for map 6 map 7 etc, the issue I see with it in game would be that it would likely be difficult to implement, and would be abusable, and as we see from the global chat report reporting doesn’t do much, I feel like if it’s here on the forums as a separate thing it would stop trolls and mean that servers aren’t overloaded, if it would work in game they should implement it there, but if not I still think it would be a useful addition here on the forums

    Reason i dont see this ever happening -> we can't have nice things because the internet.

    Would open the door for people to embed all sorts of phishing, porn, etc sites within hidden urls. And with a game geared towards all ages including minors, there would be a lot of liability. Only real option I could imagine working is if Kabam hosted alliance pages where they would have control of content, and that would be a $ pit for them.

    Charmed that I was included in that mention. The idea seems very solid, with plenty ways to help alliance command.
    Id be behind the idea, due the forums and alliance command needing a great overhaul. The methods you described would help a great deal with this. But, as the previous 2 members commented, there is issues that would need to be fixed. If done right though it could help a lot, since no updates have been pushed in years to help alliance command, or a really major forums update. The community would benefit greatly in many ways from ideas like this, and I find it good people like you bring the good stuff to light. Great work OP
