We upped the amount of 5-Star Shards that were in the Master Quest (yes, that was before the announcement, but is part of that plan), and did add half of a 5-Star Crystal in shards to last month's Calendar. We've also introduced the Grandmaster Crystal, which has a rare chance at a 5-Star Champion.

Making 5-Star more available doesn't necessarily mean they'll always be as easy to obtain as collecting shards in the Calendar. There's also lots of time before 6-Stars enter the Contest as obtainable Champions. There's still more on the way!

No one wants to see level 5 guys owning a 5* SL right from start
Just make more ways to earn them instead of free handouts

The Announcement was blown way out of the water by the Player Base. People ran with it and projected into the future to the point where they believed everything else was obsolete. Same with anything new. There is a natural progression to adding things. Unfortunately, people expect to Max a 5* and develop a Roster of Dups that accomodate 6* Shards, all in the time between the Announcement and now.

All you need are 37 of those useless 3* to get a 4* (assuming all are dupes and no max sig crystals). Then you only need 37 of those 4* to get a 5* (once again assuming all are dupes and no max sig crystals). That's only 1,369 crystals to get your 5*. 1,369 GMC x 200 units a piece is only 273,800 units. You can have your very own 5* for a low price of 88.3 Odins or $8,830. What a steal!

Yeah you upped the amount but you also upped the difficulty of it so it wasn't done just out of the goodness of your heart's.

Also miike with AW down it would of been nice to get a special 7day calendar to show us some appreciation an help us out with lost 4 & 5* shards from not being able to compete, many people could of gone for kp or medusa but have fallen slightly short because of this

Making 5 stars more available by paying units isnt "earning more" of anything.

This will follow a usually pattern. We will have more chances to buy first for a couple months and then the game will start trickling more in as they have then the flood gates will open(well more like a steady stream).

We have the buy option now with the grandmaster crystal so in the mid/late fall most likely we will see a shift in the game. They have become more available currently over last couple months but with the 6* announcement it feel worse because of what's to come.

Free stuff is free stuff. I like free stuff. I appreciate free stuff. Even more, I appreciate free stuff I don't have to work for. It's not the stuff I want, but it's more stuff.

But then there's the promise of some things being "more available". I think everyone has been wondering what that really meant in concrete terms. They saw the war changes, but no rewards change. The update and new monthly quest came, and rewards are similar to what they've been. 5.3 info hits. People aren't blown away, especially in regards to "more available". So here comes the calendar... And everyone thinks back to last month. "Kabam says 5*s and t2a are gonna be more available. So this calendar is gonna be awesome." nope.

At best, the problem is wrongfully hyping people without really explaining what they meant.. At worst, they're passing off the gm crystal as your more availability. Yeah, there's a small chance of a 5*, yeah you might dupe a 4* and get some shards, yeah 3*s will eventually equal some 5* shards down the road. But none of that is what anyone thinks when they see last month's calendar and read the words "more available". I don't think they'd expect more than last month... Or even anything equal to last month. But something comparable, yes. Something w some shards, yes. Otherwise, you've told the kids you're going for ice cream and took them to a salad buffet. "I didn't say WHEN we were going for ice cream"

It's not a joke, they just don't intend to flood everyone with 5* shards/champs. It will be a slow increase in availability, they want 6* to be available for a while before anyone can actually score one through shards. GMC are not the best way to increase availability of them, but they do, and you will receive free ones, so you do not have to throw units at them chasing the 5* IP of your dreams =P
But it is unfortunate that our expectations of 'increased availability' turned into 'a 5* in every pot, every day'. 5* are going to be dominant for another year and a half at least, and will still be a money generator; they are not going to rush to neuter that revenue stream via dumping tons of stuff on us.
That being said, I hope what Miike has mentioned about there being more to come does turn out to be a decent uptick in resource accrual rates, not only of 5* shards/champs/stones, but of t2a and t5b.

I do have to say that with AW down you actually took away 5* shards from us. So 5* shards have not increased it actually decreased.

So frustrated at this point.

Technically, no one is earning any from War, so we're not owed anything. I do hear what you're saying though. It's only down for a short time. The Rewards will be looked at later on.
Things take time to implement. I think people assumed the Calendar would have Shards every month, but that's not exactly feasible. It just takes time. That doesn't necessarily mean they won't introduce more Resources as stated, and it doesn't necessarily mean it will be purchase-only. It just means they have to add it at a pace because tossing a bunch of Resources into the game all at once is not sound. That's my theory.

Resources are available as well, just saw the new offer. 70$ and I can half a t2a, wow it's like Christmas came early. I won't know what to do with 1/8 what i need to even rank someone. But Kabam true to their word has made them more available. Many of us will be finding ourselves slipping away. As time and time again we have seen that simple progression in this game is impossible without spending money. Sad and unfortunate.

The amount of shards we are getting is very low now that 6 stars are coming. Last month calendar was a step in right direction. But the September calendar is a joke. Also AQ, AW and other areas of the game need rewards to be increased.

Also are with 6 stars on the way why dont we already have a 5 star arena to win 5 stars

Honestly, I had to start a new account just to fill in a slot of my previous ally. I hate running 2 accounts. But damn, it is fun playing in the new account. I remember the grind when I first started this game over 2 years ago. Now it is like candy in terms of rewards. This just reaffirms my distaste for the lack of advancement at higher levels. Why is t4b more rare then t4c. t4b should be raining down on any player lvl50 or higher. No one is going to set the world on fire with r4, 4stars. UPDATE THE EXPERT PROVING GROUNDS TO PROVIDE FULL T4B upon full exploration.
