Colossus or Red Magneto?

I’m torn. I’ve been saving my Mutant Rank 4-5 gem for Colossus so I can finally have an incinerate immune Champ at Rank 5 that still does a huge amount of damage...

But now I have an Awakened Red Magneto and he just killed RoL Winter Soldier in 30 hits at Rank 4!!!

That damage is just insane. Plus, he can heal off bleeds (I have willpower).

Community vote for who I should rank up. Please add advice if you have both Red Magento and Colossus - I’d really like to hear a comparative analysis by someone who owns both champions.

My next stage of progression is Act 6.2 completion and Variant 1 full exploration.

    I'm kind of in the same situation, have a 5 at r4 & 6* r1 colossus both unduped but I have a 5* mutant gem, I also have a 5/65 omega red to pair with but I can't bring my self to rank up the 5* seeing as I have the 6* but dunno if and when I'll dupe him. I'm really liking the magneto buff, he's everything I wanted and more. Magneto is r4 aswell sig 20.

    I dunno what to do lol

    Edit: I run suicides 99% of the time and Magneto is much more suicide friendly.
    Think I'm gonna go with mags and rank 6* colossus when he's duped

    I have them both at r5, i absolutely love them. That said, mag's dmg is actually so high against metal champs that pre 6.4 (maybe 6.3), you likely dont need him at r5. Colossus on the other hand benefits greatly from the increased stats. If you run suicides, mags is the better champ tho IMO, he's just silly with them on.

    If you don't have Colossus's full synergy team, Mags is the better option imo.

    It comes down to what you need in the end, A Immunity beast whose damage is sick with full synergy or a #Metal Slayer whose damage is sick against #Metals.

    Bro Rlly don’t listen to the enthusiasts for Red Magneto. Collosus is insanely good for loads of content plus he doesn’t rely on the champion being metal. Also red mags is like playing long shot and can’t help with content which has limber and stun immunity whereas collosus is versatile. Not to mention the list of collosus immunity and tankiness. Red Mags is god-tier at bests, he’s a bit overhyped IMO

    Honestly, I would trade in my R5 Colossus for a R5 Magneto. I feel like he’s stronger in more tricky matchups. I’ve never really gotten the colossus hype and that’s with my R5 5* and duped 6*. He’s great, but top 2? I don’t think so

    I have both as awakened 5/65, colossus has some great immunities and damage required in act 6 but even at r4 he's tanky and can still deal lots of damage.
    But considering you will be jumping to act 6.2, 6.3 and 6.4 which has some annoying bosses like imiw, darkhawk, mysterio, etc. an r5 mags will benefit you more.
    Personally, i love them both.

    colossus is better overall.
    If he is duped and you have synergies, he is the best mutant in the game

    What are the Colossus synergies? I don’t have him yet but I didn’t realize he relied on synergies.

    Attack synergy with omega, you get 2% more attack for every armor up and some % of power gain for every armor with Emma.
    Having juggs in the team, increases attack by 1% and grants some crit rating increase.
    I roll with only omega synergy most of the time, but if you dont have omega or he is unduped, you dont have to include him in the team, colossus crits will still deal a lot of damage.

    It’s an extremely tough choice. Colossus is more synergy reliant but with them he’s significantly better, mags is also new though, and more and more uses could be found, for now I’d say colossus, but that could very easily change when I see more stuff from mags

    Yes. Parry, heavy, SP2, repeat. I have Omega and Emma as R5 5*s as well. My issue isn’t with his damage, it’s utility. He has immunities and an armour up buff and that’s essentially it. He’s incredibly useful, but there are a bunch of other mutants I would take on his place

    For a progressing player without even a semi developed roster he’ll be amazing, but where I am I want champions that perform specific functions very well. Hence why I would take Magneto over him. He trashed metal champs, a lot of which are annoying defenders. I’d rather have someone that can shut down some of the most difficult base matchups in the game than another immunities champ.

    Damage isn’t everything. Or Proxima would be the best in the game

    I don't have Magneto as a 5 or 6* so I am not voting. I have a rank 5 Colossus and OR and they are fantastic together. I run the 2 of them and Aegon in AQ and it's a great team. Colossus has quite a bit of utility with his immunties. I have used him for the show up event both weeks and have one shot both champs in under 40 hits. Mags looks amazing too, but you can't go wrong with Colossus. Sounds like a big decision.
