Arena cutoff iceman

What is the cutoff or how much points to get iceman 4*. What is the minimum amount of points to get 4* iceman in the arena.

What's up with the dramatic increases in arena again?? Yeah. We all know he's good, but even with other champs we all know is good, never had to go to 7mil at minimum

Saw a guy with 6.825 didn't get it and another guy told him he missed by 1k.

That's just painful... Missing the cutoff by literally just one fight. Then again, every arena has this moment so yea, harsh.

Every week players are able to generate more points faster because rosters are getting stronger. But players aren't trying equally hard for every champion. So the cutoffs jump upward sporatically and suddenly when champions are in high demand.

To put it another way, the previous highest cutoff was Hyperion with 6.4 million. But some people disregard Hyperion's first week because of the Android compensation. I don't think it had that big of an impact based on the score curve, but if we toss that out then the next highest is Gwenpool at 6.2 million. That mark was reached in mid-July, about 24 weeks ago. To go from 6.2 to 6.8 in 24 weeks means the scoring only increased by about 25k per week.

My analysis of arena scores going back to the earliest scores we have history for showed that the average scores for basic champs prior to 12.0 was increasing by about 20k per week. So this is entirely consistent with players putting in about the same amount of effort for Gwenpool as Iceman, its just that the same effort translated into more points.

I put up 7.2 million for Iceman, and it took less than 300 rounds. In the old days, new basic champs went for between 200 and 300 rounds of effort, but the scores were between 4.5 and 6 million. Now, that same effort is generating between 5.5 and 7.5 million.

Honestly, my analysis shows that the top champ in terms of effort was probably Nightcrawler, way back in January. He went for 6 million in round one and 6.4 million in round two, about 38 weeks ago. In 38 weeks I would expect average scoring to increase by about 800k. On top of that scores post 14.0 are likely 10-15% higher due to arena streamlining. That means if people put the same effort into a champion today that they put into Nightcrawler at the beginning of the year you'd expect scores around 8 million points.

Last year I had trouble getting to 5 million. Now I can get to 8 million without too much difficulty. That's not because I'm grinding twice as long. It is because arena grinders are getting more 5/50s at an accelerated rate. My highest 5/50 arena team gets about 36k without boosts. My lowest 3/30 I bother to use gets about 15k. If my entire roster was maximally upgraded and I averaged 35k per round I would be making over 800k/hour. And I don't run full suicides. An arena grinder with a full completement of 5/50s and running full suicides could theoretically be approaching a million points per hour.

It is worth noting that the number of players in the pool this time was actually very high, over 150k. So over 15 thousand players got Iceman. That means over 15 thousand players were able to score 6.8 million points in the arena. It isn't just a few marginal players that are increasing cutoff scores. Basically, everyone is increasing their scores, so the cutoffs have to go up. If anything, I think scores are increasing faster than before due to the increased availability of rank up materials. 25k per week seems to be the new normal.

It is kind of crazy though, roughly 18 hours of arena grinding assuming about 4 minutes per series due to load times. That is 6 hours of arena grinding each day if spread out.

Somewhat unrelated, but it's always jarring when you go from nonstop speed of game in arenas to ultra laggy/jittery ai of aq and aw. Consistency!

I missed Abo 3* doing 681k. Seriously Should I grind 700k for him?. Shet.
I'm wondering if he's actually very rare, not just for me and my luck.

I'm guessing those are Android times. If you are taking more than three minutes per round on iOS, something's wrong somewhere. I'm averaging 24 rounds per hour, about two and a half minutes per round, in the neighborhood of 600-650k per hour.

Unless you are spending units on refreshes you are scoring more points with your top champs than your bottom champs, so someone that grinds for a couple of minutes every couple of hours all day long is actually going to score points faster than someone that grinds non-stop in a stretch. I try to do two or three rounds with my top two teams every couple of hours (as they recharge) throughout the day, separate from doing a few grinds a day. Just doing eight rounds a day five minutes at a time generates about 800k extra points per event. That's almost a million points for twenty minutes a day.

I'll round twenty minutes a day to 21 min per day.
21 min per day = 7 series per day, 3 min per serie.
800k points for 7 series is over 110k per serie.

Maybe I didn't understand you but it seem like it's not 800k just for 20 min per day.

Good for you you have 24 teams aka 72 champs 4/40 at least. That was a full job ranking up champs.

So then I guess he would be 10 million then more or less. It's weird idk my old alliance these guys use to have the picture of the featured champion in arena and on the side of it would the actual cutoff points to get the champion. Like how much you would need to have in order to get the champion. And it was always on target. So I don't know where they got that info but they got from somewhere. I'm just that's all but the thing is it was really helpful.

Real cutoff only could knows days after the Arenas are finished.
If your friends had those cutoffs before the Arena I guess it were estimations or for the second round according to the first round.

In the MCoCTrucos twitter you can see images with cutoff after every Arenas. I don't remember if he post estimations too.
Or you can see the spreadsheet with the historic data. They're not exact because it's estimate according data collected, but very near. You can find the link in reddit.

I think there's a Russian page they have a section with estimations too.

A full job would be eight hours a day. I average less than half of that, a lot of it while watching TV. I have a friend who knits while watching TV. I don't think she considers her knitting to be another job based on the time spent.

I honestly like playing the game, so I don't consider the time spent playing to be a job. When I do, I will stop playing. I already have a job.
