Who does the best tier list?

Personally i am a fan of Taters’ Power Index. Would love to hear your thoughts as to why you prefer what you do.

Watch this real world logic play out. Me and my coworker make the exact same paycheck but I get paid more because my wife has a job.

It's okay to rate champs without synergies but saying that because other tier lists use synergies invalidates them is just wrong. Again, you have 4 other spots on your team left and most champions at the most require 1-2 synergies if needed at all. Sure that does lower their value as compared to synergy-less champions but you can still practically bring those synergies along in most content.

Edit: Also, many people do rank up champs based on having synergies or not. Take a look at all the Cable rank ups recently.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again. So long as tier lists are opinionated, they won't ever be a "best". They're subjective and will remain that way unless a formula on how to gauge a champion's usability is some how created.

But this form of tier list has some issues, because if someone new to the game saw a picture of it and pulled Stryfe, they would think he's just average.
At least Seatin's list explains that synergies help make a character much better.

Ok, maybe the main thing that annoys me here is the fact that I have to watch videos for the list to make sense. Isn't the whole point to make a well informed list that shows newer players where characters rank? I shouldn't need to watch his whole series to understand it. Maybe I am just not understanding it, but that's how I see it.

I also can't respect a man who actually puts the Cyclopes, Rocket Raccoon, and Joe Fixit above Black Panther, who has some of the most underrated bleed damage (especially with synergies) in the game, and rates Blade above CapIW, Guardian, Namor, and Rogue.

the whole point is that it's not a regular tier list. If you looked at his grading scale you'd see how all his placements make sense

the videos are more in depth reasonings of one champ then smaller breakdowns of others

Taters power index rating is weighted towards wide utility and on that basis I would say it is perfectly reasonable to value Rogue's combination of power control, debuff mitigation, and sustainable healing much higher than most people give her credit for. I personally think she's way more valuable than generally given credit for for precisely those reasons.

If I could only bring one champion to face unknown content I would in fact choose Rogue over CapIW if I had to choose between the two. CapIW is great where CapIW is great, but Rogue is pretty good everywhere.

I'd do the opposite. I find CapIW works everywhere. I would bring him into any unknown content.

I know that many people dislike KT1 because of his accent and also he's a mercenary that makes money outta piloting other people's accounts (irrefutable evidence is in Youtube, search Iacskills's the Russian Pinnoccio) but...

....If you are willing to see past that then, if you haven't seen his rankings I invite you to do so. I think the guy' must be a philosopher or a literary critic on his real life job because his analyses are eye-openingly DEEP, deeper than Seatin's. They are loooong, but that is because he breaks down every champ to the bone and put's them in context regarding the current state of the game.

If you REALLY want a deep, thoughtful, evidence-based and well supported ranking, then look no further than KT1. Last December he posted the Top 10 of each class and the Top 13 of the entire game. If you have the time to watch long analyses, then treat yourself with KT1.

All tier lists are subjective and I personally have enjoyed watching all of the youtubers tier lists mentioned before. To understand a tier list you have to understand the background of the thoughts of who created them.
I do find them useful however at the end, we have to take the information with criteria. Only knowing the abilities or damage output of a champion should not decide whether to rank him up or not... mastery setup, roster, synergies and the skill a player has in game are involved.
