Parry Hotfix: How does it affect your game?

As the title says, the hotfix went live for many if not most of us today, but are things better or are things worse? Or are they more of the same? Post about you experience below!

I play atleast 6 hours per day and It feels even worse since the hotfix 70% of the time parry does not register.

I have an Android device where I can tweak graphical settings, touch sensitivity and screen refresh rate. I was able to play fine after changing a few settings, but still was missing a few parries and dex touches.

After the update I have not changed any settings and feel no difference.

Could be that they've fixed really bad performance. I had really really bad gameplay before modifying settings however it's ok now, but I'm still unable to do high level content without resources.

I have a phone that is less than 2 years old. Galaxy S10+. since the "fix" it is WAY worse for me. Along with the lag spikes that come at random. Now anytime I get any kind of notification(text etc.) I get at least 3 full seconds of lag. Sometimes when the game wakes up from its coma, i am in the middle of getting hit in the face. Super annoying!

No sure how to change my answer in the poll but after playing a bit more today than yesterday, it feels that the parry/dex bug is even worst after the hot “fix”

Dexterity is not registering sometimes and i end up taking block damage, parry is working fine now for me.

to clarify for myself:

No issues with Dex .. before, during/after . whatever . works fine .. always has.

Parry .. was working fine ... mostly ... starting noticing some small "misses" over last month or so .. (lined up with the general reports of issues .. ).. so figured "Oh, maybe it's not just me .. " .. waited it out ..

last few days ... missing SOOOOO many parry's ... suddenly ... really? been playing this game since the start .. I got muscle memory here ... it can't be "THAT" off .. suddenly .. can it?

If it was just me, I'd just write it off as myself, however, hearing others complaining ... it makes me feel better that it's most likely "not just me"

I find that in general it’s now more inconsistent. Sometimes the parry works and sometimes I get hit in the face. Before I always got hit in the face prior to the hot fix. Hopefully they release more patches to address this and finally get it fixed once and for all

My heavy attacks will not register. The champ either does nothing, pauses the game or starts hitting the opponent with light attacks.

Things are worse for me as well (I hardly had any of the problems other people were having before this update). I am now having increased freezing during fights which of course means as soon as the game unfreezes I have the enemy right on top of me hitting me with a combo or special that I can't block. Also blocking isn't happening reliably now, when I try to dash back sometimes I run forward into the enemy's attack, when I do normal hits I instead wind up doing a heavy that then allows the enemy to hit me before the heavy lands.

I don't understand how you guys continually mess things up worse and worse. The announcement that you are ending the smaller ongoing compensation is ridiculous considering you actually made things worse for me now.

Somtimes says parry but no parry happens. Somtimes makes me randomly throw sp1 when trying to dash back and sp2 it wont throw it when im trying to. I try n try to throw it get annoyed and end off getting combod into oblivion. Then puts me to sp3 and it lets me throw it all buttery smooth. Now im getting lag i wasn't getting before this but the game isn't being as mental as it was before the update. its went from one set of bad things n changed them for another cleared up problems but created a whole new set of wierd problems. Just fix it already i love this game but am actually loosing interest in it now. 🥱😕

It is really way way worse, parry,dex, hits through a block which I held for seconds, heavy attacks not registering. From having some smaller issues to unplayable for me

Does anyone see this isn't/was't mainly a parry issue but a speed/spacing of the ai vs your champ issue ?
They did it with malicious intent as well because you either get hit or take block dmg like 10-15% of the times.

I was between that is has been the same and that it got worse because it depends on the place I am battling. The cavalier cosmic path has been absolutely horrendous with parry. I will prompt parry and the defender will not get stunned, I would re-parry and the defender would act like he is stun immune. But then in the next parry, it will work. This is costing me a lot damage that I can’t afford to take. I realize there is more work to be done but I feel the inconsistency is really killing my experience with the game. It has been almost 2 straight months of this and it still has not gotten any better.

Nothing is significantly improved. I don’t think it is a parry/dex problem, I think kabam has removed frames from the defender’s dash attack, especially when they attack from across the screen. They have slowly made similar tweeks over time, but this was significant enough that it prevents you from dependably dexing when the defender dashes at you, resulting in either parry or block, or sometimes even getting hit in the face.

A number of people in my alliance have said that the hotfix has made things worse for them, dexterity in particular, but also the game crashing mid fight more than before and issues with timers (e.g., G99's Digi-Cloak cooldown, Spider-Ham's poppers, Stealthy's passives). I personally find the game about the same as before the hotfix with lots of lag and the reported issues with parry and dexterity.

This - I was okay before the hotfix.... was missing the occasional parry but nothing as drastic as most people. I couldn't reparry though but I worked around that.

Now I can reparry..but miss more normal parries than before and every 3rd or 4th fight my champ cannot do a heavy attack or combo hits get dropped as the champ freezes in the middle of it allowing retaliation.
