They do use two different servers for Android and iOS. If they scaled it to account for Android users versus iOS (let's say the community is 40% iOS and 60% Android then top 40 iOS times and top 60 Android times get the title) users then it could work. The bigger issue I see is with managing it though. There are a lot of people that use both iOS and Android to play this game.

So if I ran every single path except the last one on my iPhone, and swapped to my Android to do the last path cause my iPhone ran out of battery, which category would I be under?

Some of the claims above are not true. I play on my galaxy S8, it beats the **** out of iphones. I noticed this when i was playing along with my friends.
